Mzee Ajabu walked into his mansion frustrated, he was just from a meeting with another honcho who didn't yield. 'Let me think about it' was all he said. Mzee Ajabu had learnt long ago that, 'Let me think about it' was as good as a no. It was as if the world was conspiring against him to yield and go public. 'No, never,' he mattered under his breath while seating plop on the chair.

He had not sat for long when he saw his daughter Olivia going to the kitchen. He got up and followed her. Olivia was deep in a daydream. Her daughter Zawadi was in the hospital full of stabs and she needed blood badly.

Olivia picked up a knife. Sharp and long and started cutting her wrist while muttering.

"It will be okay my child; mommy is here with the blood."

"It will be okay my child; mommy is here with the blood."

Mzee Ajabu entered the kitchen, at first he did not comprehend what was going on until a minute had passed. Her daughter was so emaciated and pale she resembled a stranger. The floor was red with blood.

"What are you doing," he screamed after coming out of his daze and ran towards her, taking the knife from her hands and wrapping a cloth around the wounds. He reached in his pocket and dialed their family doctor.

"The ambulance is in another location it won't get there on time," the doctor said from the other end, he was starting to get tired of Mzee Ajabu family emergencies.

"I'll bring her myself," he said. Picked up Olivia and carried her to her gold land cruiser. 'Where is the guard and my driver,' he wondered while buckling Olivia's seat belt, she was still murmuring;

"It will be okay my child; mommy is here with the blood."

"It will be okay my child; mommy is here with the blood."
