It had been about two months after I first met Draco, and things could not get any better. He always came to the bar every other night, sometimes for a drink, but mostly just to hang out with me. He even befriended Lou because of how frequent he dropped by the bar, and I was glad the two got along. Whenever his schedule at work was not cramped, he took me out on a date, either to dine or to see a movie, as he had figured out how much I love it. I noticed that whenever we passed a wizarding neighbourhood, he always received a stare or two because of his past, even though he had hid his mark with his sleeves. To be true, I did not mind his mark the slightest. Whatever he had done in the past, it was behind him, but I was not going to push him about it since it seemed to be a sensitive topic for him.

One day during mid May, Lou and I had received a letter from Remus as he finally found a time to reply our previous one. He had told us he would come and visit us for a brunch the weekend after he came back from Hogwarts, and he would also bring his family. As the said weekend was today, Lou and I found ourselves busying about the kitchen, preparing for their visit. It was half past ten when we heard a knock on the door, and I went to open it as Lou was setting the table.

"Cassie!"

I was greeted with a squeal coming from a blue haired five year old. I picked him up and ruffled his hair as I greeted their parents and allow them inside.

"How have you been, little cub? You've gotten bigger since I last saw you."

"I've learned to fly on a broom! Mummy gave me one for my birthday."

I ruffled his hair some more before I set him down so that he could go and tackle Lou, and I went to greet Remus and Tonks, whom embraced me into a hug.

"How are you, Tonks?"

"Tired to be honest, Teddy's just a ball of energy."

"Tonks, you know we don't mind looking after Teddy from time to time."

"I know, but I don't want to worn you out before you leave for work. Besides, his godfather is gonna take him for a trip next week, so it'll be fine, I'll get my rest then."

She laughed as she linked her arms around her husband's. They were definitely a relationship goal, despite their age difference. They always showed love with the simplest gesture.

"Oh Remus, you have to tell me all about Hogwarts."

"We'll get to that later, as I'm sure I'll be needing your help with a thing or two for my class."

Remus taught Defence Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts and he would ask Lou and I for a thing or two about his subject, since we both graduated from a school that was well known for its focus on the dark arts. He had told us that we would do good as aurors, but we were not so keen on working with the ministry, as it had proved us time and time again that it was corrupted from the inside.

"Cassie, why don't you get Lou so we could get started?"

"I'll come with you, do you mind if I put Teddy in your room?"

"Go ahead, Tonks"

We retreated to the balcony where Lou was producing what seemed to be fireworks out of his wand to entertain Teddy. I beckoned Lou to follow me as Tonks went for Teddy and stayed in my room for the time being.

We sat on the couch in across from Remus, who sat on our coffee table. He took a deep breath and informed us about what was coming.

"I'm glad that you both had decided to get to know your father's friends and family, but as you know, your umm, existence, might be a bit of shock for them, as I've explained before.

"I think it would be best to start with just his remaining family and his godson. It will only be handful of people, and Tonks has already knew, so she could help you out as well. What do you think?"

Lou went quiet and looked at me expectantly. I knew he would only be willing if it was alright with me, Lou was always good to me like that ever since we were kids. I thought of the possibility that Draco would be there, since he was a descendant of the House of Black, but as far as I knew, his mother was not very keen with my father, with him being disowned and everything, so there stood a chance where Draco might not be present. Besides, I had told Remus that I took his offer, and it would only be rude to back out now, considering everything he had done for Lou and I through out the years. I nodded at Lou and he smiled at me before answering Remus' question.

"That'll be fine Remus, when should it take place?"

"Well, I am already having dinner plan with them later tonight. You don't work on the weekends right? Why don't you two join us?"

"The sooner the better, I guess."

We settled on brunch with stories about how the previous teaching term had been for Remus, how Teddy's home-schooling been going, and mostly catching up on everything since Christmas. Remus had also kindly invited both Lou and I to join him at Hogwarts for a lecture or two, seeing that we both would be an excellent example at duel lessons that he ought to give to the second years and above. We told him we would be delighted and to let us know when he needed us.

When we were done with brunch, they told us that they really needed to get going to prepare for dinner, and so did we, so we led them to the door where they bid their goodbyes.

"Cassie, just remember that no matter what happens, you'll always be my goddaughter. Sirius had trusted me with your care, and I'll die before I failed to do so."

Remus pulled me in a fatherly hug, one that he was wont to give me every time we met, before turning to Lou.

"Lou, I know you're not officially my godson, but Sirius considered you as his own son, and to me, that's as good as you being my godson. Don't hesitate to ask for me for help, alright? You two aren't alone in this world."

And with that they left the flat and left us to get ready for tonight. I headed back to the kitchen to do the dishes and did so when I felt Lou was staring at me. I turned around to find Lou did exactly that whilst leaning on the dining table. He looked as if he was contemplating in his mind whether or not to voice his thought, and he looked hesitant as well.

"What is it, Lou?"

"You know he could be there."

"Father told us he was not on great terms with his cousins except for Andromeda. He might not be there."

"I'm just saying, Cas. Just be sure to be ready if he were."

Lou then went out to the balcony for a smoke and left me to my thoughts.
