I didn't expect to spend half of my day at the building, but I'd be lying if I said that I didn't enjoy myself. Seeing Christian again was the highlight of my day, but after finding out that he's trying to outbid me for that building...I didn't know what to think. Surely he couldn't have known that I was the other buyer, but even if he did know...he didn't know me at all so that wouldn't have stopped him from putting an offer in anyways.
Staring at myself in the mirror, I admired my curves in the tight fitting rose gold dress that I was wearing. I planned on going to a nearby bar and treating myself to a few drinks, because lord knows I deserve it. Though I vowed to stop drinking, especially after an incident that happened two years ago that almost put me in jail, I figured one or two drinks wouldn't hurt.

Plus, Wes was going to be with me, and I knew he wouldn't let me go past three drinks. That was the drink number we had both agreed on, but only when I'm out in public. When I'm in the privacy of my own home, I can have as many drinks as I want, as long as I don't try and leave afterwards.
Walking out of the room, I grabbed my phone and clutch purse, sending Wes a text and letting him know that I was on my way down.
