(I did this chapter with my best friend and we were both drunk when we did it.)

No one's POV

Four and X were making out. They were making out because they got drunk. And then they heard the window crash... They  both shouted, "I'm gay!" A person named Spongebob (R. I. P. Stephen Hillenburg) bursted through the window. Spongebob said, "You two are so gay that my mother made a cereal brand that has weed." Four and X killed poor Spongebob and got arrested.

And then my friend and I busted them out of jail. They went home... the end.

(jk That was just a joke.)

(Real Chapter) No one's POV (This was requested by my sister.)

The basic concept of Algebra requires the understanding of signed numbers including the operations and other basic ideas such as variable ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) , terms, and polynomials. Positive whole numbers are used mostly in our everyday lives. They are used for various purposes, especially in counting. We use these numbers to determine our grocery bills or how much money we have saved in our piggy banks.

Aside from positive numbers, there are negative numbers. Have you ever thought about negative numbers are used in real life?

Let's take a look at a number line.

Let's take a look at a number line

Compare the following numbers:

1. 12 and 13.... 2. 0 and -100... 3. -12 and 10... 4. -25 and 2

1. 13 is greater than 12. 13<12

2. Since it was discussed that the value of a number decreases going to the left, then 0 is greater than -100. 0>100

3. A positive number is greater than a negative number. 10>-12

4. Since both numbers are negative, what we can do is check from the number line which is farther to the left of 0. Since -25 is farther to the left of 0, -2 is greater. This means that -2 has a higher value than -25 or -2>-25

If we look at a number line, we'll see that each integer is separated from another by a certain distance. The distance of any integer from 0 on the number line is called the absolute value.

The main idea of absolute value is quite similar to the illustration below. Let's say there is a pole and 2 cars. The pole could stand for zero while the 2 cars represent the values of positive and negative. Since we can't have a negative distance, we have to make use of the concept of absolute value. For instance, the car traveling of a negative distance has an absolute value of 10. Absolute values are written in positive integers and they are found in between two lines.

Now that we are settled with this lesson, you readers are ready to move on to more algebra topics! Good luck readers and future mathematicians!  And remember, positive numbers are WAY different from negative numbers. Just make sure you get your equations right because in order to be successful!
