It wasn't until the end of the night that Beca felt a certain pull to the redhead that she hadn't felt in a long time. She tried to brush it off but the more Chloe spoke, laughed, giggled, and smiled, it only intensified Beca's emotions. Beca wasn't a very emotional person. A lot of people would have described her as apathetic and Beca would have agreed with them but not that night. Not at that moment when she was sitting next to Chloe listening to her talk about her life and gaze at her as if she were the most beautiful person in the world.
The thing is, the feeling was quite mutual between the two women. Chloe had spotted Beca when she was moving in and had quite the desire to introduce herself to the brunette as soon as she could have. Chloe found Beca extremely attractive and cute, despite Beca's attempt to have a badass persona. Chloe saw right through it and tonight she had proven herself right because Beca wasn't as much of a badass as she set herself out to be. She was actually a very deep thinker and had more emotions than she let on. Chloe could tell that Beca was hesitant to share certain things but the redhead was persistent and eventually broke through some of those protective walls Beca had built around herself.
The night eventually came to an end and both women were reluctant for it to conclude.
"I better head off. It's quite late," Beca stated.
Chloe looked at the time on her phone and saw that it was creeping up to midnight.
"Oh my God! It is! I better get to bed. I've got work in the morning."
"What time do you start?"
"Seven."
"Wow."
"Yeah, I've got to get in early and do a bunch of work before I actually work."
"The life of a vet," Beca chuckled.
"Exactly."
Beca and Chloe stood and walked to the front door.
"Thank you for dinner and a fun night. It was really good," said Beca.
"You're most welcome. I hope you like it here in your new neighbourhood."
"Well, if everyone is like you I think I'll like it just fine."
Chloe blushed at Beca's comment and it made Beca's heart skip a beat when she saw Chloe's cheeks turn red.
"Anyway, I'll let you get ready for bed. I'm sure you've got a big day tomorrow," Beca told the redhead, trying not to sound too disappointed that she had to go.
"Thank you. Have a good night."
"You, too." Beca smiled at Chloe and turned to leave.
"Ah, wait!" Chloe called out and Beca's heart stopped.
"Yeah?" Beca turned back around to Chloe who quickly walked out the door and over to Beca.
The brunette froze. Is she going to kiss me? Beca thought. In what seemed like hours, Chloe stood in front of Beca but to Beca's disappointment, instead of giving her a kiss, Chloe gave the brunette her phone.
"Do you want to exchange numbers? You're really cool and I'd like to hang out with you again sometime."
"Oh," Beca looked down at the phone and saw Chloe had opened up a new contact. "Sure." Beca typed in her phone number then gave it back to Chloe.
"Let me give you mine," Chloe put her number into Beca's phone. "There. I'll talk to you soon."
"Sounds good."
With that, Beca gave Chloe one final smile and made her way back home.

After having a shower, Beca changed into her pyjamas and prepared for bed. The bedroom still had a lot of work needed doing to it but the brunette was adamant about getting her bed set up before anything else. After a full day of moving over to L.A and moving into her new house, the short woman wanted to have a nice bed to sleep on when the day was done.
Once she brushed her teeth, Beca turned off her bathroom light followed by her bedroom light and went to shut her blinds only to look up and see Chloe's house next to hers but more importantly, Chloe bedroom. Their rooms were exactly opposite each other and Beca had a very good view into the redhead's room. From what Beca could see, Chloe's room was bright and colourful. She had pink and white bedsheets, about ten display pillows, pictures all over the walls, and fairy lights strung around the room. It looked similar to what a high school student's room would have looked like but Beca expected that from Chloe. The woman was the happiest woman Beca had ever met so having quite a juvenile room seemed appropriate.
Beca went to shut her blinds but stopped when she saw Chloe emerge from what she presumed to be her bathroom since the redhead was draped in a towel with her hair up in a messy bun. Beca froze and watched the woman walk around her room getting ready for work the next morning. Beca knew she should have closed her blinds but she didn't - she just watched Chloe as if she were some stalker or even a pervert. After about ten minutes of watching Chloe get ready for work, Beca forced herself out of her daze and mentally yelled at herself to go to bed.
It worked for about a split second since Beca grabbed the cord to release the blinds but Chloe decided to discard her towel, unintentionally revealing her naked body to Beca. Beca's mouth went dry as her jaw hit the ground. Chloe was stunning. She had a very taut and athletic body. She was toned from head to toe. There was no way she could have looked that good without working out. Beca wasn't sure how long she stood there for. It was as if she were truly frozen and her eyes were glued to the woman. Chloe was simply beautiful and if Beca wasn't sure about her feelings for the redhead before, she sure was certain about them now. Chloe was beautiful on the inside and out and Beca wanted her badly.
Chloe placed her towel on the end of her bed to dry and climbed into bed. Naked? Beca thought. She sleeps naked? The brunette gulped and saw Chloe turn off her fairy lights, making her room dark like Beca's. That's when Beca finally snapped herself out of it and went to bed herself where she couldn't stop thinking about Chloe being naked followed by a rather sultry dream about the beautiful redhead.
