Chapter 6

                                    

                                          
Phil's POV
I ran inside because I heard a loud noise with some screaming. When I got in the doorway all I saw was Dan laying on the ground with his father over him. I quickly rushed to his side to see that he was unconscious, so I pushed his dad off of him and picked him up. I began to run out the door with them screaming profanities at me. I sat him in the passenger side and quickly went to the drivers seat. I sped to the hospital and went to the emergency room with him on my back. They got him a room, but said I had to wait in the waiting room. The walls were all white, it was plain and smelled the usual. 
         I sat in the uncomfortable chairs and began to get anxious. I eventually fell asleep. I heard footsteps and someone tap me on the shoulder. "Are you Philip?" The man asked "Yes" I responded "Well, Daniel seems to be fine he just has slight bruising, but there is a chance that he might have a miscarriage because there was also bruising on his stomach." He explained 'oh no' I thought 'we can't lose the baby, he loves it with all his heart even though it was unexpected' "we are accepting visitors for him now, if you want to come." He said "yes please" I replied. He started walking down the halls to the room. 
         When we got there I heard the beeping monitors and I saw him. He looked so pitiful. I just wished that it was me and not him in that hospital bed. He deserved so much better than this outcome. I felt like a horrible person for leaving him. I started to hold his hand and after a while I felt him squeeze it. I looked over at him and saw those brown orbs that I pleaded to see. He had a smile spread across his face while looking at me. "Hey" I said "Hi" He said with his scratchy voice. "How do you feel?" I questioned. "I mean I'm fine, but I'm more worried about the baby." He said, worried. "I'm sure the baby will be fine." I said flashing a small smile, trying not to tell him the truth. I got up and laid on the hospital bed with him. When I got up there he immediately started cuddling with me. He started to fall asleep with me stroking his back and I started to close my eyes also. 
        I awoke when the doctor came in and said "You guys are free to go when he wakes up again, but if there is problems with the child let us know immediately." "Ok, thank you for all the help." I said. She nodded and left the room to go help other patients. When I looked over Dan was awake with a confused look on his face. "What was that about?" He questioned. "Oh, they just came in to say when you wake up we can go." I got up and started to help him up, but realized he was in a hospital gown and went to go get some clean clothes. We went to the lobby, checked out  and began our journey to the house. I unlocked the door and we went inside and sat down on the couch with Dan later sitting next to me and laying his head on my lap. I turned on some anime and we both started to drift off to sleep.
