"For now we make the rules. You, me and Avery."
Snapping my eyes open I'm quickly scampering to my feet, stumbling from the woozy feeling that sweeps over me. Cringing at the pain I feel shoot through my head I grab onto Octavia for support who is apparently holding me up straight in the dropship. "Easy Ave", she guides me softly "Murphy whacked you over the skull pretty hard."
In that instant clarity shoots through my mind as I recalled what happened leading up to Murphy slamming a log into my skull. Surveying the dropship I quickly ask Octavia, "Where is your brother?"
"Bellamy took off a few minutes ago to find Murphy" Octavia explains, grabbing my hand when I storm to the exit of the dropship "The hell do you think you're going, Ave?"
"Murphy is a loose cannon right now Octavia. Bellamy is going to need all the help he can get whether I'm pissed at him or not" with that said I run right through camp and into the woods behind the tent we warded Charlotte in.
Night has fallen, darkness soaking the forest like a blanket as I run through the shrubbery and dodge tree trunks. After a few minutes, I can faintly see an orange glow in the distance. Murphy's taunts carry through the murky forest as he calls out for Charlotte. I push myself to run faster despite the growing stitch in my abdomen. Breathing heavily I'm about to stop for a moment to regain my breath when I hear Charlotte crying out her position. Emitting a frustrated groan I force myself to continue sprinting. "Charlotte shut up" I grunt to myself, barely jumping a rock in my path. The orange light grows larger as I near and I finally make out the four guys who followed Murphy. They weave through tree trunks and I make the smart decision to follow them, knowing they will eventually lead me to Charlotte and possibly Bellamy.
