~Christine was knelt on the floor in front of the Pharaoh as he stood there staring down her her. His arms were crossed and a glare on his face.
"Christine...I'm going to only ask you this once. What on earth were you thinking? What possessed you to go and... a cup full is one thing....six bottles?" he asked calmly. She felt a shiver rush through her.
"I...I just wanted to be alone." she answered tearfully. Which had been partly true. She had wanted to be alone. She hadn't expected to be found. But, as it was, Mahad had found her.
"You reek of wine! Six empty bottles! You can't even stand up straight!" The pharaoh exclaimed causing her to flinch.
"I-I'm sorry, Pharaoh." she choked out. She wanted to be angry. She wanted to stand up and scream at him, but she felt as though she was being held down by an unseeable force. She felt the guilt eating at her. She couldn't stop thinking about what had happened. What she did. She felt as though she wanted to go and drowned her self in the Nile.
"What if something had happened to you?! What if we couldn't find you?" The pharaoh snapped out as he began to loose his temper. "Gods damn it, Christine. You could have gotten hurt....or...Drowned!" He exclaimed as stared at her. What on earth was she thinking! Hell he didn't care if she drinked wine but be smart about it!
Christine frowned as she dared to look up at him. "Pharaoh. I don't understand. What are you mad at me for?" she asked looking at him puzzled. Why was he talking about her getting hurt. It was his life that had been put in danger. In stead of being there and ready to protect him she was off drinking. "I....I messed up. Bakura could have hurt you....Why are you talking about me getting hurt?" she asked.
The Pharaoh stood there and stared at her with a 'Are you kidding me?' look on his face. "Are you serious right now?!" he exclaimed. "You put your life in danger, Christine!"
"That's no different than any other time," she says with a scowl as she stared up at him. She really wished that he would allow her to get up. Her legs were beginning to go numb and her knees ached from the floor. "I am your guard" she pointed out.
"You are impossible!" he threw his hands up in frustration! "What were you even doing? There is no way you could have finished off six bottles of wine alone!" he says as he sat down on the bed and stared down at her.
Christine tensed up, her eyes widened a little. "I-I was alone pharaoh. I swear. I was alone." she says as panic rose inside of her. She knew she had fucked up, but there was no way she was going to let any one else go down with her!
He stared at her for several minutes before sighing. Christine whimpered as she waited anxiously to hear what his judgment would be.
"Christine..." ~
Christine woke up feeling a sudden dread. she sat up and looked around worriedly.
"What's wrong Christine? 'Nother nightmare?" Bella asked sleepily as she appeared in soul form.
"Something is wrong." Christine said as she got up and walked out of the room. She looked down both sides of the hallway before following the pull she was feeling.
She looked up as she stopped at the elevator which lead to the duel arena. She walked into the elevator with a fright.
"What do you think it is?" Bella asked fully awake now.
"I don't know...but I don't like it." Christine replied as the door opened. She walked out and looked around. Her eyes fell on Bakura's lifeless form on the dueling platform. She felt her heart stop at the sight of him.
