Chapter 10

                                    

                                          
Beam kept on walking back and forth in the hallway, contemplating with himself whether he should go or wait a little longer since it was dinner time for the patient... He didn’t want to interrupt Forth whilst having his dinner and he was afraid that he might be the one who would eat Forth’s meal if he was in the room because he was so hungry at the moment... He really didn’t know what to do until he was approached by a senior nurse who was in charge of the VVIP’s section.
                          
- Dr. Beam!... Why are you still standing there?... You better go to Mr. Forth’s room immediately... He has been asking for you for numerous of time... And he seems a bit mad since you should have been here an hour ago.... The nurse told Beam about his patient because she was worried that Forth would do something reckless if Beam still didn’t show up to his room.
                          
- I know I was supposed to be here an hour ago... But I have a patient that needed me more... I didn’t mean to come here late... Beam explained for his lateness.
                          
- That’s what I’ve been telling him... But he seems to fidget a lot while waiting for you... The nurse reported to Beam.
                          
- He’s really impatient, isn’t he?... Well, I guess I better go there now before he troubles all of you... Beam chortled and reluctantly made his way to Forth’s room.
                          
Beam took a deep breath a few times to brave himself and once he felt that he was ready, he knocked on the door to Forth’s room and entered the room quietly... Beam yelped when he was suddenly being greeted by a pair of big muscular arms that were embracing him firmly.
                          
- Finally, you’re here.... Forth muttered and sighed in relief.
                          
- Y..yeah, I’m here... C..can you let me go now?... Beam mumbled whilst holding his breath so that he couldn’t inhale the manly scent of Forth that began to make him dizzy.
                          
- I will if you promise that you won’t run again.
                          
- How can I?... I’ve been transferred here to take care of you personally... Beam uttered softly as he tried to break away from Forth.
                          
- Okay I will let you go even though I don’t feel like it... Forth replied as he loosened his arms around Beam and clasped his hand with Beam’s instead... Come, have dinner with me... He tugged that cute doctor to follow him and made the guy sat on the bed as he pulled the over-bed table that had two sets of hospital food and sat on the bed facing Beam.
                          
- How did you get two sets of these?

                          
- By paying them with money, of course... I know you haven’t eaten yet... That’s why I asked for two sets because I want to have a quiet dinner with you... But I’m really sorry that it’s just the hospital food... I’ll take you somewhere better once I’m discharged from here.
                          
- But who says that I want to go out with you?.. I’m here because you’ve requested me to be your personal doctor... Beam replied whilst narrowing his eyes towards Forth who was grinning liked a fool.
                          
- Hmm...maybe you don’t want to go out with me yet, but I won’t give up until you’ve finally agree to accompany me... Forth said with determination.
                          
- We’ll see about that, but right now, do you mind if I start eating?... I’m so famished and food is the only thing on my mind for the time being... I can’t think of anything else but food... Beam uttered as he stared at his food whilst chewing his lips to control himself from drooling.
                          
- Forth chuckled and quickly passed the spork to Beam... Go on... dig in... Satisfy your hunger first then we can talk again.
                          
- Thank you... Beam didn’t wait for long... He swiftly feasted on the food and ate it with his eyes closed, savouring the taste of the hospital food that had became tasty because of his hunger.
                          
- You’re adorable and beautiful, Dr. Beam... Forth said as he reached out the corner of Beam’s lips that got smeared with something greasy and wiped it with the pad of his thumb. 
                          
Beam flinched and his heart was beating rapidly as he felt Forth’s thumb was brushing his lips gently... He wanted to push Forth’s callous fingers off his face, but he froze and stopped chewing his food when he felt Forth began to move his hand and caressed Beam’s cheek fondly.
                          
"I’m so happy, Dr. Beam. I’m so happy that I get to meet the real you." Forth’s eyes were glistened as he smiled contentedly at Beam and he was leaning towards that cute doctor, tempted to kiss Beam’s inviting lips.
