It was really easy cultivating the qi whirlpools as long as you have the required qi and I have already created all twenty of my qi whirlpools. With each whirlpool that I create, collecting qi from the heavens and earth became much easier for me. I had no more need to rely on spirit stones but of course, spirit stones would still help hasten my cultivation.

The amount of qi I could store in my body have massively increased. Each whirlpool I created would allow me to store ridiculous amounts of Qi. Well, technically the word store is used wrongly here as the qi would constantly swirl around in the whirlpool and quickly cycle throughout my body.

The more whirlpools I have, the faster the qi cycle flowed and power would be generated whenever I execute any technique. However, there is a problem and that is that my body cannot keep up with the power that I can release.

When I tried to execute the drill punch, the force of my punch ripped the skin off my fist and wrecked the room I was in. Thankfully nothing important was destroyed so I just had to pay some gold taels to repair the room and replace the furniture. It took a few months for my fist to heal but the bigger problem was that...

I am basically a cripple or disabled person right now until I enter the next realm. Hopefully, the transformation that occurs when I enter the next realm would make my body strong enough to allow me to use my full power.

I tried asking the system how strong I was and if my body grew stronger with each whirlpool I created, but the system just gave me my stats and could not quantify the amount of qi I had.

While my stats had improved, it basically did not mean anything since I cannot use any techniques right now. My stats also only referred to my body's abilities so it could not give me a real reflection of my true strength. I asked if it could include the qi I had or the power of my techniques and it said it could not.

The system explained that as everyone has a different amount of qi, it was impossible to create a reference point to base the stats upon.

The system also started nagging and complaining about how I have not praised god ever since I was reincarnated and it was frustrating. It was like a radio that was stuck on repeat and I could not turn it off or mute it.

One of the surprises that I received after creating my whirlpools was that standing meditation had a positive effect on my whirlpools. Besides refining my qi to make it purer, standing meditation also managed to deepen my qi whirlpools and made them able to absorb more qi. I kind of stole the Six Harmonies Eight Methods Boxing technique from the little girl whom I met at the Ying estate, and what I obtained was an incomplete inheritance. If an incomplete technique is already so powerful, I wonder just how powerful the complete inheritance is.

I don't think that dreaming of the complete technique is ungrateful since I did grant her wish, which is why I said I kind of, since it was a reward from the system and it was taken from her without her consent.

While I don't really remember her name anymore, I wonder how her cultivation is coming along. I hope she is happy since I had managed to grant her wish and I recall that she was innocent and cheerful. I hope she stays that way. People lives don't mean much in this world, but people can still be content and happy.

Right now, Lu Wang city is already in plain sight. I heard from the people in Chu Hou town that the governor was in Lu Wang city! I don't really miss my father that much but I do miss my mother and my siblings. Liu Kang should be with my father too and I want him to try the popcorn I made! I wonder what kind of funny names he will give it this time. He called me a shaman when he watched me make jerky and I couldn't stop laughing.

...

As we approach the city gates, the guards were wearing a soldier's uniform and they had set up blockades around the gates.

"Halt! The city is on lockdown right now and you may enter, but once you do, you will have to obey the orders of the military and cannot leave until we have accomplished our duties!" one of the soldiers shouts out.

"It seems like the information we heard in Chu Hou town was right." Judge Tang said.

"The governor might not allow us to complete the riding circuit if we enter the city. We only have to investigate the forest and three or four more places to visit." Judge Cui says as he ponders the options we have.

"Is Governor Shang in the city?" I ask the guard.

"Governor Shang? The governor is in the city. State your identity and purpose!" the guard answers my questions and gives an order. The other guards enter a combat state as it seems they are now suspicious of us.

"I am his son, Judge Shang Shi and we are on our riding circuit," I reply to the guard but they do not ease up on their alertness. I feel like they are staring at me and the second that I make any sudden movements, they would jump towards me and stab me with their spears.

"The Governor's son? You are travelling judges? If I find out you're lying, we'll chop your head off!" the guard says as he tells another guard to go look for the Governor's steward.

"Let's go meet my father. I'm sure my father will allow us to leave the city if he intends for us to continue on our riding circuit." I tell Judge Cui and Tang.

They give me a smile since there is really nothing to discuss as the guard has already gone ahead to check with the governor's steward. Maybe I was missing my father a little more than I expected.

A few minutes later, we can see Mo Ji walking towards us and the guards greet him as he walks towards us.

"It is nice to see everyone again!" Mo Ji exclaims.

"Shi er, your father is busy and he will only be able to give instructions later. Are you all done with riding circuit?" Mo Ji asks.

"Steward Mo, we were supposed to investigate the forest but we heard that the governor was here, so we decided to come here instead. We only have Lin Yu city, He Jin City, and Wan Rong village left on our riding circuit." Judge Cui respectfully answers

"Ah!" Mo Ji makes an exclamation because he knows that they have basically made the people in those places that were mentioned frightened after they executed tons of people. It is clear that no sane person would want to even think of the governor and his people anymore after they ordered the execution of so many families.

"Umm, Steward Mo, Do we enter the city or not? The guard says that if we enter, we will be unable to leave the city and continue on our riding circuit." Judge Tang asks curiously.

"Hmmm..." after thinking for a few minutes, Steward Mo says, "I think there is no point continuing your riding circuit anymore. The last two cities have been placed on lockdown by us and General Ling has taken care of Wan Rong village. As for your investigation into the forest, we will wait for Governor Shang to decide. You should enter the city and this would probably be your final stop." Steward Mo says.
