I walk into the meeting room to see Riley filling some pieces of paper out, we've just finished a case and it was his turn to do the paper work. We've been partners since we started working for the Alliance 4 years ago, but were best friends since we both arrived here around 11 years now. He looks up smiling sliding a piece of paper over to me with a pen, the pen nearly rolling on the floor.

"You need to sign there" he says quickly looking back towards the papers he was filling out, probably wanting to get out the way, the paperwork always takes forever.

I smile signing the paper sliding it back over, as I turn the doors open and in walks Morgan, our boss, holding a file in his hand.

"I've heard you've finished the Anderson case" he smiles as Riley hands him the completed file, Morgan takes it but swaps it with the one in his hands, that was slick.

"I have another one for you to sink your claws in" he smiles while reading the file we gave him, Riley opens the file but sighs throwing it on the table annoyed, I guess he didn't like it.

I walk over to read it myself, when you're given a file they don't give you all the information. You basically have to piece it all together like a jigsaw, Riley likes to say the people that make the file have all the information but they just wanna make us work harder. This one was about a Beta called Lukas, now I know why Riley's annoyed.

"Why do we always get stuck with the Alpha's and Beta's?" He asks annoyed crossing his arms, Morgan just laughs shaking his head as he went, which Riley didn't like.

Morgan doesn't understand that all the Alpha's and Beta's treat us like we're under them, they do this because all they see when they look at Riley and me are humans. If only they knew the real reason for us being humans, we weren't born humans but werewolves. Some bad people did some bad things to us turning us into humans, but they don't see it that way unfortunately, nobody does.

"Because I know you two are the best people for the job, just deal with the threats then you can leave, it's  an open and close case "Morgan says throwing his arms to the side, while Riley still shakes his head walking around the room, he really wasn't happy.

"We'll go right there and have a chat with him" I smile standing up, which causes Riley to look over at me throwing his hands in the air, we've always dreamt of getting to be senior field agents, refusing jobs isn't gonna get us there.

"See that's the kind of attitude I want, thank you Taylor, now I better get going good luck" he smiles walking out happily, pleased that it had gone his way, but let's be honest, he knew we'd agree to go.

"He always does this, leaves us with the annoying ones and you always agree to them" Riley grumbles picking up the case file looking through it angrily, I knew the anger wouldn't last long though.

"Let's just go and talk to the Beta, Morgan said it's a open and close case, just get it over with" I tell him grabbing my coat walking towards the door, he doesn't move but once I turn the corner he soon appears next to me.

"It's lucky you're like a sister or we'd be having a major falling out" is all he says as we walk out the doors towards the car, I told you the anger wouldn't last long.

It doesn't take us long to arrive at the Midnight Pack, as we begin to pull into the pack a weird feeling takes over my body. I've never felt anything like this before, it was like my body was drawn to this place for some reason. A huge building, which I'm guessing is the pack house comes into view. A buff guy walks out with his arms crossed, he didn't look to happy to see us.

"He looks annoyed without us having to even talk to him, in reality he needs us here way more than we need to be here" Riley mutters saying exactly what I thought he would, I laugh reaching into the back to get the file hoping none of the papers fall out, that wouldn't be a good start to this whole conversation.
