Roman is transgender in this one, and it's an AU. Just a heads up, unless it's requested any trans side oneshot I write is probably super vent-y lol, so it's usually going to be at least slightly angsty. So, warnings: mild discomfort at not passing and being referred to in feminine ways
Also the Spanish which I used google translate for is just "I love you, my prince" cause I feel like after Logan learned Spanish specifically to insult him he'd also learn it to say cheesy stuff cause why not (I used it in an old oneshot too but oh well lol-)

Roman stared in front of him, hands on the edge of the bathroom counter, bottom lip tugged between his teeth. He scanned over his appearance for what was probably the hundredth time, focusing mostly on his chest. If he looked at it long enough he still felt like it was obvious that it wasn't flat. He could really tell it wasn't flat when he turned to look at himself from the side.

Roman sighed, looking back down at the bathroom countertop. He put his makeup away again. As much as he loved wearing makeup, loved trying new and extravagant looks, he just couldn't do it lately. It hurt too much. He loved it, but he knew that if he could barely pass without makeup, he definitely couldn't pass with it.

"What's wrong?" Logan asked almost immediately as Roman saw him for the first time later that day. He could tell instantly that something was wrong, and Roman hated him for that. Not really, but he didn't really want to talk about it.

"Nothing," Roman shrugged, putting on a grin and walking over to sit beside of his boyfriend. He clung to his side immediately, leaning into him as Logan wrapped an arm around his shoulder. Roman gestured to Logan's book when he looked over at him, looking up at him from his chest. "What are you reading?"

"Roman," Logan said firmly, looking at Roman seriously. He bookmarked his page, setting his book aside and turning his full attention to Roman. "What is the issue? It is not wise to ignore it."

Roman didn't say anything, glancing down briefly at himself. He looked back up at Logan, frowning now, and Logan nodded in understanding.

"Roman," he spoke softly. He had been with his boyfriend for a while, but he still couldn't keep his blush off his cheeks every time he wanted to say anything affectionate. He didn't care how embarrassing it was, however, if it meant that Roman might feel a little better about himself. "I know you may not feel like it, but you do look incredibly handsome, Roman. I could say with complete honestly that you are the most attractive man I have ever met."

Roman smiled half-heartedly. Logan was very sweet, and he did feel happy hearing his words, but he didn't really know how to explain the complete reasoning behind his bad mood. He decided to just leave it at that, leaning up to press a short kiss to Logan's chin, the closest spot he could reach from where he was sitting. "Thanks, Logan."

Logan smiled, shifting and pulling Roman up so he could kiss him properly. Roman returned the kiss happily, arms wrapping loosely around Logan's waist as he moved closer. They both smiled as they pulled away, Roman leaning closer to Logan to rest his forehead against his shoulder. Logan pressed a kiss to the top of his head, muttering. "Te amo mi príncipe."

Roman smiled a little wider, pulling Logan closer to him. He laughed softly, kissing his shoulder where he was still laying. "I love you too, nerd."

****

A week had passed since Logan had comforted Roman.

Roman found himself once again standing in front of his bathroom mirror, scanning his appearance. However, he wasn't looking at his reflection disapprovingly this time. In fact, he actually felt like he looked very nice today. He felt like he passed very well-well enough that he could get away with wearing makeup and not feeling like he was going to be misgendered much.
