Searcher Jack Fain x reader

                                    

                                          
You stared suspiciously at the figure behind the two boards. One, that was a large searcher. Two, you couldn't trust a damn thing in this place- unless it was Boris, of course. Three... he had a mighty fine hat. 
                          
The hat was probably just to make you lose your guard. Finally giving in, you walked over- slicing down the first board. 
                          
With a groan, he disappeared within the ink. Grumbling, you continued on. "At least I don't gotta fight 'em," 
                          
Upon entering a room, you let out a sigh. You really didn't want to fight him.
                          
Peeking around a corner, you saw him. With a hiss, you ran at him, your axe raised- he didn't attack, instead slipping back down into the ink.
                          
"What the fuck?" You hissed, turning around. He was behind you now, across the room.
                          
Charging at him, he disappeared yet again. "God damn it, what am I gonna have to do this time," you hissed. 
                          
Pulling the lever, you watched as a platform with a box on it fell. You glanced at the searcher, frowning.
                          
You honestly didn't want to kill him. He wasn't aggressive- and, I mean, he had a pretty sick hat. 
                          
So, walking over to the platform, you sat down and began to wait. It did take quite a while for something to happen- but soon, he popped up right in front of you.
                          
A gurgle escaped him as he stared at you, seeming confused. You just smiled. "Hey there fella. Nice hat."
                          
He seemed bashful, dipping his head with a purr of appreciation. 
                          
Slipping off of the platform, you patted his shoulder. "You're one of the cuter ones," you chuckled. 
                          
At this point, you were just showering Jack with compliments. You felt him grip onto your waist in a protective hug, a loud purr coming from him.
                          
You giggled. "Hey, buddy-"
                          
He looked up at you, groaning quietly. You hummed, patting his head. "I suppose you'd like to come along, yes?"
                          
Suddenly, he disappeared into the ink- popping up back into the hallway you had come from. With a gurgle, he reached into himself- pulling out a gear.
                          
"Oh! Thats where it was!" You laughed, happily taking it from him. "Thank you for that, bud. Lets get going- don't wanna stand still for too long down here."
