The day off

                                    

                                          
The next morning james woke up to hear light snoring beside him. he looked over at his wife lily sleeping soundly.
Then he heard someone else wake up and looked across the room to see lyra waking up, and stumble over tiredly to the table with the books on it.
She then read what he assumed to be the title of the next chapter and groaned annoyed. 
She plopped it down on the table and looked like she was thinking of something. After 10 seconds she took out her wand and she produced a corpereal patronus. 
It was a stag. She sent it a message to tell everyone who was here yesterday to come over again in 30 minutes.
                          
She came over to the bed he and lily were laying on so he pretended he was asleep.
"Dad?"
"Dad?"
"Dad?"
"DAD!"
he wouldn't budge so she conjured a bucket and put cold water into it.
She threw it onto him and he jumped up so fast you would of thought he got an electric shot.
"It's cold, it's cold!"
"Well duh it's 'cold' water".lyra said sarcastically. 
"Your in big trouble young lady"
"For what?" She asked like it was the most outrageous  thing she ever heard.
"For pouring water your mother" he said taking off his shirt and replacing it with one in his closet.
She started laughing hysterically.
"What's so funny?"
"You - you - your soooooo whipped for mum you don't even care if you got wet!"
"Yeah so? Why do you think I married her?,because of her looks?"
Lyra put her head down and said ashamed while rubbing her neck embarrassed. 
"I - i sort of did but I didn't know you, only through one of snapes memories in my occlumency lessons so i guess that was my first impression of you"
"What memory was it?"he asked nervously.
"The one where snape called mum the 'M' word".
Realisation overcame him and he looked guiltily at his daughter whose first impression of him was him bullying someone out of immaturity.
                          
"Lyra, first of all I'm sorry you had to see that, it wasn't one of my brightest moments. 
And secondly I'm sorry that was your first impression of me, but it does give you insight that not all people are good from the start,after that incident I wised up a bit and didn't do it anymore.
"It's alright you were 15, I suppose everyone was like that when they were 15"
"Not you I hope" he said sternly.
"No " she said hesitantly.
"Ok" he said unconvinced.
                          
When sirius and lily woke lily started scolding the heck out of lyra for throwing water on them. James and sirius were trying not burst out laughing. lyra then said in a pure innocent voice 
"mum you were asleep how could you possibly know it was me"
"Because -" 
lily stopped short because she was right,she was asleep and it could of been sirius or james.
James and sirius just gaped at what lyra said because lily believed her.
                          
When lily was scolding them lyra was imitating her and making silly faces behind her back at them.
when lily wasn't looking james mouthed 'your in trouble'.
she shrugged it off and then got dragged by her mum to a closet james had for her after they got married.
Lily was complaining that none of the clothes looked good but lyra put on a pair of skinny jeans and griffindor top with a quittich jumper with 'potter' on the back. Lily chose her outfit and they both got out. While they sat down waiting for everyone to come lyra was humming a song that was sung at the yule ball by the weird  sisters, james was playing exploding snap with sirius and lily was quietly reading a book. After ten minutes hedwig came in and dropped a letter on top of lyra. Lyra gave her some treats she kept in her pocket and she left.
"What does the letter say?"sirius asked.
"Wait sirius I haven't read it yet " she replied.
The letter said:
Sorry lyra but we're  kind of busy today so we won't be able to come but we will come tomorrow so I'll  see you soon!
                          
Ron,hermione ...ect
                          
After lyra read the letter she groaned dramatically and said
"Now what am I supposed to do!"
                          
"I heard your friend hermione say something about your OWLS,how'd it go?"
"Good but I liked question ten the most" she grinned.
"Why what was it?"
"Fives signs on How to identify a werewolf, pretty easy
One:he's sitting in lupins chair in 1975.
Two:he's wearing his clothes.
