The next day she was back, a black duffel bag in her hand. "Where is she?" Alex leads Henrietta to the library where Jessica was seated on the window seat, reading a book to Jayden. She stops upon them entering the room.

Resting the book beside her on the seat, she gets up with a now sleeping Jayden in her arms. She hands him to Alex, who left the room to put Jayden in his crib.

Henrietta drops the bag on the floor, stooping to open it. She pulls out an array of herbs, the scents combined filling the library with a sickeningly sweet fragrance.
She gets out a bowl, dropping a few herbs into it, before adding a few drops of a purple liquid. The smell made her cringe. "What are you doing with wolfsbane?" Jessica asks uneasily.

Henrietta laughs. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you dogs immune to it?"

Jessica glares at her. "Only alphas, and I think you already know that". Henrietta laughs. "That I do." She proceeds to pound the herbs and wolfsbane in the bowl until it was a swirling mixture of blue, purple, green and yellow.

She takes some onto her fingers, tracing her fingers up Jessica's arms, neck and her face, she does the rest to her body. Jessica grits her teeth as the burning began, the wolfsbane slowly eating away at her skin like acid.

"How is this supposed to help?", she says flinching as the pain intensified. "I'm trying to track the source, the witch or warlock that did this has tampered in very dark magic which leaves a trail, it's easy to find though, doesn't help much if they hid their tracks well".

Jessica nods, watching as Henrietta closes her eyes, and began chanting, the pain increased greatly as Henrietta spoke rapidly in her native tongue.

Henrietta's eyes flew open, just as Jessica collapsed to the floor, a seizure taking over, blood gushing from her mouth. Adrian ran in, his hair disheveled, his eyes shaky as he ran to her, cradling her form. "What's happening to her?" He growls. Henrietta frowns. "I was hoping this wouldn't happen".

Adrian looks at her with a frown. "The curse is speeding up, I'm thinking she has roughly about two months before it kills her, maybe less".

"We need to find a solution, and fast", Adrian growls. Alex nods. "We need more witches, powerful ones", Adrian nods. "I know".

"The pack is getting restless", she says. "And the outlaws have been trespassing more frequently, we need to get this under control." Adrian nods, running a hand over his face tiredly. "I'm well aware Alex. But your mother-"

"I'll deal with the pack Father, tend to Jayden and Mother and if need be, I'll run any decisions through you". Adrian nods getting up. "I'll check on the witch's progress".

She smiles doing the same, instead of walking to the house, she gathered a meeting with the warriors. Despite the circumstances, she felt immensely happy when she spoke to the warriors, getting a tiny dose of what it would feel like to be in power.

The crowd of men and women was buzzing with slight whispers. Her gaze drifted over them before she clears her throat. All eyes snapped to her, where she stood on a makeshift stage, in the clearing used for training.

"As you've all been aware of the frequent outlaw trespassing on the pack lands, patrol will be increased around the packs border, and any outlaw caught must be brought to the dungeons. We will put an end to this".

The warriors nod before she dismissed them.
