Jess's POV 
                          
"Jess hurry up we leave in five minutes for the airport!" My moms voice echoed through the empty house. 
                          
"I'll be down in two!" I said as I was finishing putting my last few items in my back pack. I walked down stairs and looked at my empty house. I'm really going to miss this place so many memories are held here. I let out a breathing I didn't know I was holding and walked out the door to my moms car. Once we got to the airport we checked in and got to our gate. I was really nervous and shaking. What if nobody likes me? What if I don't make any friends? thought kept going through my head if all the bad possibilities until our flight came and it was time to leave. I was dreading this moment. We got in the plane and I put on my headphones. I was listening to Shawn Mendes's EP it is amazing. I ended up falling asleep so my mom woke me up when we were getting off. We walked to baggage claim and got our bags then headed to the door. My dad got to North Carolina a week early so he is picking us up. I saw our car pull up and my dad came out. 
                          
"Hey guys!" He said
                          
"Hi dad." I said still tired from the flight. He grabbed my bags and threw them in the trunk along with my moms. 
                          
~at the new house~
                          
We arrived and this house is huge. It has three stories. 
                          
"So Jess put your stuff down in your room it's on the third floor, first door to your left. Then we will go meet our neighbors." My mom said setting my bags down inside the house. I ran up to my room and I was speechless. It was a master bedroom with a personal bathroom, a walk in closet, and a window with a seat. I absolutely loved it. I unpacked most of my clothes and met my mom and dad down stairs.
                          
"Hey me and your mom can't go but you should still meet our neighbors so come back when you are done we are going to the grocery store if you need us." My dad said. I walked to our neighbors house and knocked on the door. 
                          
"Hi!" a girl who looks about my age said answering the door. 
                          
"Hi I'm Jess, I'm your new neighbor." 
                          
"I'm Lizzie nice to meet you want to come in?" 
                          
"Sure!" I said. Lizzie and I hung out all night until I had to go home and eat dinner. We exchanged numbers and I left. 
                          
"So did you have fun?" my mom asked
                          
"Ya! Lizzie is so nice and she has most of the same interests."
                          
That's good!" my dad said proud that I already had a friend. Later that night I was on twitter and saw that magcon was coming here so I ran down stairs to tell my mom.
                          
"Mom!" I said out of breath
                          
"Yes honey?" she asked
                          
"Can I go to magcon it's coming here."
                          
"No, not unless you find a job and can pay for your own ticket I have bills to pay."
                          
"I'm thirteen! How am I suppose to find a job?"
                          
"Babysit"
                          
"Fine"
                          
I went up stairs and turned on my laptop I saw that someone needed a babysitting job for their little girl so I emailed the mom and surprisingly she emailed me back right away.

From: Elizabeth Grier
                          
Hi sorry this is on such short notice but can you babysit tonight in twenty minutes til I get home it would be greatly appreciated. My son Nash will be home and my youngest son, Hayes will be home an hour after you start. 
                          
I emailed her back and told her I could and then rushed to get ready. Once I was ready I walked down to their houses I was screaming on the inside but I was just gonna keep my cool. I walked up to their door and knocked.
                          
"Oh you must be Jess thank you for coming on such short notice." Elizabeth said when she answered the door 
                          
"Come in and I'll show you around!" She said as she opened the door wider so I could walk in. Immediately when I walked in Skylynn ran up 
                          
"Hi are you going to play horsies with me?" she said in the most adorable voice 
                          
"Yep!" I said excited to spend the night with her. 
                          
~ 1 hour later~
                          
I just put Skylynn down to sleep since it was 8:30 at night and I heard the door open. I went down stairs to see none other than Hayes Grier.
