Una had been left alone to guard their cell. She'd been silent since her argument with Leo and had had a solid face as she wasn't even looking at them anymore. She had a book and seemed to be reading but hadn't turned the page in a while. They were the only ones in the room but in the other were a couple of the guys.

Hours passed and the sun began to sink low in the sky. Most of the other men had left, it was just Una and the man she'd promised to marry. He ran his hand down her cheek gently and she shyed away putting down her book. He stared at her as she stood to stretch.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
She tilted her head, "What do you mean? I'm fine."
He sighed, "Whatever."
She rolled her eyes and shook her head, sitting back down, "What?"
"Nothing, you're just being annoying."
"I haven't said anything."
"Exactly. You're going to be my wife you should at least act like you enjoy it."
Leo gave a soft laugh from inside the cell, "Your wife. She wouldn't make a good enough wife for a pig, let alone a man."She glared at him and he caught her eye, "What? Are you going to kill me? You don't scare me, I'm not afraid to die if it means you have to suffer."
She sighed and the man grabbed the bar of the cell, "How dare you?!"
"Hendrick." Connor interupted, causing Una and the male to turn to him. "Prehaps it's time you took a break."
Una gave a small sigh of relief and Hendrick opened his mouth in protest, "My wife is here. I don't want to leave her."
"Don't worry. I'm sure she's a competent woman, which is more than I can say for you. Now, leave."

The man nodded and looked reluctantly at Una, who made no effort to let him know if she wanted him there. She just sat back down and picked up her book. He left, slamming the door hard behind him. Connor sighed and pinched his nose, looking at her as she closed her book and set it on her lap.

"Una."
She glared at him, "What do you want?"
"To help."
She scoffed, "You sell me off to some piece of scum and ruin my relationship with the only true family I had. Now you want to help, how ironic."
"Una, please." He knelt beside her, "Just listen to me."

She glared at him but stayed quiet ignoring him.

He looked up at her, "Una?"
She looked at him, "If I trust you and you betray me again I will kill you. I will make sure it is the most painful death the world has ever seen."
She stared at him for a long time and he swallowed hard, "I understand. Will you trust me?"
"I can try." She said.
He turned to the siblings, "Can you trust us?"
"No." Leo answered before the others who just shifted.
Xander stood, "Una, I place my faith in you."

Elise stood with him and Camilla joined them. Slowly but surely, Leo stood hesitantly beside his siblings.

Una smiled, "Leo... Thank you."
He gave her a distrustful look, but backed down quite quickly. "Una, I said something-"
"No, we both said things we regretted. I know it'll take time but I'd like to fix it."
He gave a relieved smile, "You beat me to it."

Connor noticed the genuineness between the pair. He hoped his sister would be able to grow old with him and have a family that she could trust. The look broke and they looked away from each other as he cleared his throat.

"I have a plan. Under the cover night, I can provide a path to get out without the others knowing. I'll trust Una to lead you all, I'm afraid I have things to take care of here. I'll let you out tomorrow night and I'll expect that you be at the castle by morning light." He said, "I can give you rations, water, and horse for travel through the night."
"Are you coming as well?"
"Like I said, I have things to take care of. I've created a monster and I can't trust that it won't come after you again."
He turned to leave and she grabbed his arm, "Connor, you have to come with us."
"No, tomorrow I will take my last breath. I will take them all down for the people I've grown to love. If I don't, the guilt I hold will crush me. Tomorrow is good bye, dear sister. I'm sorry for the pain I caused you."
"We can still be a family, Connor. You don't have to do this, what happenedeas my fault."
"But I do. You don't understand, I've killed innocent people. Families have been slaughtered by my hand, villages burned to the ground, homes destroyed-"
At this point tears ran down her cheeks, "So you'll destroy one more? Is that it, you want? Ours to be the last? What about the people you leave behind? What about me and Elise? What about the future? Do you want to kill the future, too?"
"There isn't a future for us! I will go to jail or be put to death, you will marry, Elise will grow older. I'm just one less person you will have to worry about."
"You are my brother!" She snapped, "I will not let you."
Leo crossed his arms, "You are her brother, that makes you ours too. I'm not letting you die. Those bastards will get what they deserve."
He stared at them, "How? How can you just forgive me like I've done nothing but hurt you. It's my fault you're here, my fault you were alone all those years, my fault our mother is gone. Yet you treat me like I'm one of you."
Xander smiled, "It's how we were raised. Our father loved your mother enough to take in her other children as well. He didn't do that for any of the others. He'll love you all the same."
Una hugged him, "We'll love you all the same."
