What a way to end the soccer season
With scrapes on my knees
Grass in the messy wisps
Of hair escaping my ball cap
And with my thighs itching
From rolling down the hill with IssacHeart brimming with love
Love for my team
My friends
My soccer family
Love for cocky little Jasper
Who's ever so quick with the ball
And even quicker to correct me
Love for polite Dayten & Darrick
Who always encourage the team
Love for JoJo (Josiah)
Who made the term "twins"
to be feared
And who rose to leadership
When I never thought he would
Love for Jessie
Oh Jessie
The boy who played starfish
In the middle of every game
Love for mercy
Who showed that
girls can get offensive too
Love for Bobby
The tallest 12 year old I ever met
Who matured so fast this season
A boy who gave up the ball
So not to trample the smalls
I have a lot of love
A lot of love for my team
For my friends
For my soccer family(10-29-18)
