"What?!" Stevie nearly exclaimed. "Did you just... Don't even go there, Mick!" She let her head fall back into the pillows.

"It's true, Stevie... I always have."

"Well, I don't believe you," she responded. "Mick, I was hurt when I did that---I wanted affection for what I didn't have at the time. You actually took advantage of the state I was in. Even if you think you loved me, you would have never cheated on me with my best friend in the seventies then. You don't love me," she stated.

"How come Buckingham gets the upper hand?" he asked her snidely.

"What are you talking about?" she held a disgusted expression as she spoke. Her vision was a little blurry---really struck on what was happening and the medicine she was on at the moment.

"He cheated on you twice. Not once, but twice and you forgave him the first time."

"I was married to him and I still loved him. In fact, I still love him. But he didn't get the upper hand the second time around because, we divorced if you don't remember that. You may have been too coked out to."

"You act like you were so pure. You were an addict to two drugs, love."

"I never said, I was pure. I know what I did and the second time it wasn't even my fault. Look, I don't want to talk to you---I'm not feeling well and you're making my blood pressure go up."

"I want to know what is wrong with you!" he stated once again.

"Well, I am not telling you. I'm not. So stop calling my house, do not call my husband and just stay away from my family. I don't care how much you care, or how much you think you love me because, you don't." With that being said, she hung up the phone and let her head fall in to the pillows once again. She let out a long sigh, close to a huff and shut her eyes. She couldn't even figure out what was going through Mick's mind. They were never a real couple; all he was at the time was a way out of her own mind. She wanted out of the sadness she had for Lindsey cheating on her. She wanted to do something just as bad at the same time. But ultimately, she never wanted herself and Lindsey to end. She loved him, he loved her and they still did.

After some time, she picked her phone up again and called Lindsey once more.

"Hello?" his voice rang through---a little tired sounding.

"Hi, baby---did I wake you?" she asked softly. She could tell he must have been sleeping.

"I'm alright, what's up?" he asked.

"I just wanted to tell you; if Mick calls---do not answer please. We got into it again and I don't want to talk about it."

"Okay..." he paused. "How are you feeling?"

"Calmer now," she assured. "I'll be fine---just writing and trying to get mind clear."

"Alright, babe. I love you---bye."

"Love you, too," she hung up the phone.

She went back to writing and how she was feeling. Too many things came to her and she just couldn't keep up. Not did she want to for that matter. She didn't love Mick, not at all. She cared for him and loved him as a friend, but it was never romantic. She always made sure to stay away and she never did anything to lead him on. She had a big, caring heart but at the moment she could've cared less how he felt. She knew his emotions had to be some testosterone issue.

A few weeks had gone by and Stevie had healed well. She had gone back to the doctor's for check ups and everything was looking up. There was nothing in the way to keep her from getting better. She was okay, which in turn made her daughter okay. Lucy was far more relieved that her mother was totally healthy now. They were  just careful, so she wouldn't have to make serious decisions.
