" So any new bounty?"
I shoved the Dreg Captain's head on her desk and she laughed!
" Not bad! So ur finally getting back in the field?"
" Yeah... Taking a break was nice... it helped me get over what Eris said about my family... I did some research but nothing came up yet, but I'll keep looking...I forgot how fun it was to be back in the game! U know killing dregs taking out the Taken and wiping out what's left of the Red Legion!"
I nodded and we both sighed.
" It has been pretty quiet, but I'm not complaining!"
" Taya come on! We're going to be late for debriefing!Ikora's going to kill us!"
We both laughed and ran out the door leaving the Dreg head laying limp on the table.
Once we had rushed into the hall Ikora glared at us and we shrugged in apology!
" Right, now that everyone's here we can begin."
I looked around the table and Cayde sat beside Trent and Eliana. And Zavala and Ikora were at the heads of the table.
Cayde caught my eye and gave me a wink.
I held back a smile and turned back to face Zavala.
" Since Petra and a few others from the reef have been shunned from their home by memories we have opened up to them and they will be staying here at the tower."
We all nodded our heads.
" I would like to ask that each one of u welcomes them with opening arms and sees to it that their stay here will be for the better, for us and for them."
Once again everyone nodded.
" Lord Shanxx has offered to help train and give stations to the remaining Guards at the reef who will be coming here, as so they do not feel to out of place."
Zavala tilted his head and I turned around, I only noticed now that Lord Shanxx leaned against the door frame.
He nodded his head and strolled to the table standing beside where Ikora sat.
" (Y/N) I would like to ask if u could invite Petra into ur fire team. As captain of the guards at the reef, I believe it would be comforting to her to know that she is need here."
I looked from Eliana to Trent to Taya, they were my fire team. They all nodded.
" will do sir."
Zavala bowed his head in thanks then turned to Ikora.
" Ikora would u please see to it that any of the Osiris followers be kept in check and perhaps near the training area, if u could also help Vyriks, to be the only Fallen in our mitts will be overwhelming for him and I'd like to keep him calm."
Ikora nodded and stood up with a sigh.
" Well we've all got our missions Le-"
" What about me?"
Cayde finally spoke up and his eyes landed on Zavala.
" Cayde... U r close friends with Petra I must ask that u not only make her welcome but allow her into ur home."
Wait... into his home? As in live with him? As in live with my boyfriend? As in the man I love?
I turned to Zavala...
" uhhh can't she just stay at my place? I don't mind sharing with Cayde?"
Zavala gave me a small smile.
" That's very kind of u but I think she would feel more comfort living with a friend."
I huffed.
Cayde gave me an awkward smile and I couldn't help but smile back.
We all left the hall and Trent caught up to me...
" Hey (Y/N)? Can I uhhh ask u something..."
" Yeah sure Trent!"
After Oryx was killed we had become good friends and I invited him to our fire team! He had humbly agreed.
" It's uhhh kinda stupid but... well it's my daughters birthday today..."
I held my breath and looked to my side, Trent stared at his feet...
" I was just wondering if u would come with me? I don't really want to go alone and Caydes super busy getting ready for the people at the reef and I didn't want to bother Eliana cause she's got a date coming up and I couldn't ask Taya cause she's going on a mission and-"
His voice was speeding up and going higher, I put a hand on his shoulder!
" Of course Trent I'll go with u! I don't mind at all... I'm here for u."
He gave me a sad smile and I hugged him patting him on the back.
" Well... I'll meet u at the hanger bay in a few hours... thanks (Y/N)... ur a great friend."
I smiled and waved goodbye to Trent as I went home to get ready...
I know I lost someone but that was before I was a guardian and I barley remember! But Trent! Celia was only like 7 when she died and Trent was a guardian! He remembered it all... I never even thought to ask about his wife... But I guess he would have brought it up if he wanted to talk about it... For now I just gotta be there for him... I hope he's ok...
