Tom slowly woke up, everything was so warm...
He tieredly looked up, noticing Matt's sleeping face only centimeters away.
He blushed, not used to being this close to any one.
He carefully put his head into Matt's chest, listening to the soft thrum of his heart beat.
He smelled like jasmine and roses, a nice floral scent that only seemed to calm Tom down.
It was strange that Matt hadn't woke up screaming last night... usually he did.
Tom wondered what was different this time...
The sound off glass breaking filled Tom's ears.
He shot upright, staring at the doorway in horror.
Edd stood there, his face blank.
"Edd-- Its not what you think--!"
"How long." He deadpanned, cutting Tom off.
Tom stayed silent, not able to form any proper words.
"I can't believe it." Edd said, his voice void of any emotion.
Matt slowly sat up, rubbing his eyes.
"Oh, good morning Edd!" Matt said, his voice groggy but cheerful.
Tom's eyes widened.
It had been so long since Matt had used that tone.
"...Good morning." Edd said quietly, a sad smile appearing on his face.
"Guess what Edd! Tom slept with me last night, it was really good... it helped me alot!" Matt said, wrapping an arm around Tom's naked torso.
Edd froze his mouth falling open.
Oh god... he thought they...? Oh no...
"Edd, it isn't like that!" Tom squeeked, his eyes wide.
"It's fine Tom, I get it. You've never been one to keep your legs closed." Edd scoffed.
"I'm going out, look after Matt, please try to keep it down, I dont want any complaints from the neighbors." He said, his tone flat as he closed the door behind him.
"What was that all about..?" Matt asked, still half asleep.
He yawned, grabbing hold of Tom as he layed himself back down.
"Nothing Matt, Edd just... Edd's just going out to buy more cola..." He sighed, laying on his back as he stared up at the ceiling.
"Oh, okay.." Matt said quietly, drifting back of to sleep.
Tom sighed, his gaze turned to the ceiling.
He knew why Edd was mad.
He had only had the conversation a week ago.
Edd got drunk, he spilled everything to Tom, how he'd been feeling, how all of this bothered him.
How he was in love with Matt...
Tom cared about Edd deeply, so he didn't tell Edd about learning this information.
He carefully pulled himself away from Matt and walked into the kitchen, not bothering to put a shirt on.
He would drink his problems away, but right now he had someone to be responsible for.
He pulled a couple of things from the fridge and placed them neatly on the bench top.
He would make Matt's favorite.
Basil and mushrooms on toast.
Sure, some people might find it disgusting, but in Tom's opinion, it was fuckin awesome.
