Warning: Cursing
Jester narrates: Well, so far, I was a happy baby. But all of my happiness is about to be turned into darkness. Let's find out what happens
Early the next morning, Joker had ordered Frost to call another meeting, so he could tell the boys about his plan on robbing a bank. After the meeting, all of the gang members left, leaving Joker, Jessie, and Frost. Frost made Jessie's afternoon bottle and fed her, before giving her to Joker. "Hey boss, I'm going out to grab lunch. Do you want anything?" Frost asked Joker. "Get me a cheesesteak with fries," Joker replied. "Alright boss," Frost said as he closed the door and drove off. "Well, it looks like it's you and me, sweetheart. I've got you all to myself." Joker said as he looked at Jessie. "Daddy has something for you." He said as he pulled out a gift. Joker unwrapped it, showing a small box, but Jessie got scared because she thought that her daddy was going to put her in the box and leave her, just like her birth parents did. "Oh, Jessie. It's okay. Look." Joker said. The box revealed a white baby blanket with blue bunnies and red and blue stripes on it. Joker handed the blanket to Jessie, who loved it right away. Seeing Jessie happy made Joker happy and all the pain, hurt, and sadness of the loss of Jeanie and their unborn child went away. Then Jessie tried to crawl to her daddy but fell. Jessie was going to cry, but when she saw that her daddy was right by her, she didn't cry. "Are you trying to crawl to Daddy?" Joker said in a silly voice as he got Jessie and started to tickle her feet. The two laughed and played together until a black car pulled up. Joker went to make sure that it was Frost and not anyone else. For if any of the other villains had found out about Jessie, there was no telling what they could do to her. Frost came through the door with lunch for him and Joker, but someone was being mischievous. Jessie looked at the food and want to play with it, but her daddy said "You can't play with that, silly girl. Here play with this." Joker said as he handed her stuffy to her. (Yes it's a bat)
Jessie was happy to play with her stuffy, but she couldn't see her daddy, so she began to cry. "My God. This kid is going drive me into the madhouse." Joker thought. "But you were already in the madhouse like over a zillion times." A voice in his head said. "It's alright, boss. I got her." Frost said as he left to go see why Jessie was crying. "Hey. What's wrong, Jessie? You were just fine a second ago. Are you hungry again?" Frost said as he grabbed a bottle from the frig. "No. Do you need to be changed?" Frost said he felt her diaper, which was clean and dry. "Well, if you're not hungry. You don't need to be changed and you already took your nap. Then what's wrong?" Frost asked her. Just then Joker came in and Jessie stopped crying. Then walked away, and Jessie started to cry again. Leaving out a big sigh, "Alright. Come here, sweetie." Joker said he picked her up and took her into the kitchen, where Frost pulled out a highchair for her and seated her right next to her daddy.
On the other side of town, in a dark alley, that goon was planning on kidnapping Jessie with a gang of his own. "Everyone listen up! Tonight we are going to become very rich men. After we kidnap that little brat from the Joker, we will be rich." The goon said to all of his men. "We strike at midnight." He said with an evil smile. It was now 8:30 pm, Jessie had gotten her bath and was in a clean diaper and a sleeper. "Alright, Jessie. It's bedtime." Joker said as he picked her up and her into her crib, but she wasn't sleepy. "Frost!!! How do I get Jessie to go to bed?" Joker asked him. "Try reading her a bedtime story, or sing her a lullaby," Frost replied as he was finishing cleaning the bathroom, from Jessie's bath. Joker groaned because he didn't own any storybooks to read or know lullabies to sing. "Well, I rather tell Jessie a story than sing. Because I don't want Frost to hear me sing." Joker thought to himself. "Come here, Jessie. Do you want Daddy to tell you a story?" Joker asked Jessie. The smile she gave him confirmed her answer. "Once upon a time, there lived a king. The king was very lonely because his queen left him. But one night, while the king was out, he heard a noise coming from a tunnel. He went down the tunnel to see what the noise was and there he saw a basket. As he got closer to the basket, the noise grew louder and louder. As he opened the basket, he couldn't believe what he saw. A newborn baby girl wrapped in a blanket." "Oh there, there little one. I won't hurt you but where is mommy and daddy?" The king asked. Then the king saw a note, making him angered by what was written on it. "Well, little one, you can live with me in my castle." Said the king as he picked up the baby and got on his horse. Once the king was back in his castle, he didn't so alone anymore. He felt happy since his queen had left him. The baby filled the king's heart with love, laughter, and joy. And they lived happily ever after. The end." Joker said as he got done with the story. As he looked down at Jessie, who was finally fast asleep, she was snuggled up in his arms. Joker couldn't help but smile at his baby girl. He placed her in her crib, covered her with a blanket, and gave her the new baby blanket he had given her, earlier that day. Turned on her mobile, turned off the lights and closed her door, and went to bed.
