(Warning: Cursing)
As Joker placed the baby into the bathtub, Joker and Frost noticed that the baby was.... a beautiful girl. After the baby girl had her first bath, she was wrapped in a towel, which scared the baby girl, because of what happened to her. Joker picked her up and soothed the baby girl. "It's alright, baby girl. I'm here and I won't let no one hurt you." Joker said in the baby girl's ear. The baby girl calmed down. Frost took her, got her dried, diapered, and dressed in a purple sleeper, and put her on Joker's bed. "Where do you want all of the baby's stuff boss?" Frost asked Joker. "Put it in the room on the left. And make sure that all this baby stuff is out of my bedroom, first. Then go set up the kid's room." Joker said. "Yes, boss," Frost said as he started to gather all of the baby's things. About three hours later, Frost came back for the baby girl,( who was getting sleepy) to put her in her new crib and nursery. Once the baby girl was fast asleep, Frost closed the door and went into Joker's room. "Is the baby asleep?" Joker asked him. "Yes, boss. She is." He replied. "Good. Oh, don't think I'm going soft because of that little brat." Joker said with anger in their voice. "No, not all boss. But here's a parenting book that should help you with the baby." Frost said handing him the book. Joker growled at Frost, but took the book and told him to leave.
At 2:45 am, the baby woke up and was crying. "Oh, for the love of God!!! Kill the kid!!!" One of Joker's voices said. "No. Remember you DON'T KILL KIDS!!!!" Another voice said. "You're going soft!!!! You're no Villain!!!!!" Another voice said. "Will you just shut up!!!?" Joker yelled into his dark bedroom. Joker got out of his bed and went to go check on the baby. Once he opened the door and turned on the lamp, he walked over to the crib to see what made the baby cry. "Stop crying!" He yelled, only making the baby cry more. "Ugh. Where's that goddamn book? Let's see here. When your baby starts crying, you want to use soft-kind gentle words and a voice to calm the baby down. There are three possibilities as to why your baby is crying.
Possibility #1: Your baby is hungry. If you hear a small growling noise coming from your baby's tummy, then just grab a bottle, warm it up, and feed your baby. (See page 5 for feeding.)
Possibility #2: Your baby needs a diaper change. After a feeding or nap time, your baby will go to the bathroom in its diaper. It's important to change the diaper right away or a diaper rash will form. (See pages 12 & 13 for diaper changing and treating diaper rash.)
Possibility # 3: Your baby wants attention. It's important to give love and affection to your baby.
"I'm not one for using soft kind words or a voice, but I guess I'll have to... try. Please let it be a hunger problem or that the kid needs attention. I'm not changing any dirty diapers. Oh, sweetheart. What's wrong, huh? Did someone/something scare you?" Joker said soothingly. All the baby girl did cuddle up in Joker's arms. Joker felt the baby's sleeper, which was wet. "Oh great. Now I have to change a diaper," he said in his head. "I think someone needs a new diaper and sleeper." He said to the baby girl. He took her to the changing table to change her diaper. As he laid the baby girl down, unzipped her sleeper, and got her out of her sleeper. As he removed the baby's wet diaper and begin to wipe her with a wipe, the baby cried. "Note to self: Tell Frost to get a baby wipe and diaper warmer." "Oh, honey. I know the wipe is cold but Daddy has to make sure you're fresh and clean. We don't want to you get an infection." He said. Once Joker was done changing the baby's diaper and a new sleeper, he saw the baby smile right at him. "Are we happy now, because we have a new diaper and sleeper on?" Joker said as he picked her up, wrapped her in a blanket, and took her over to the rocking chair, and placed her in his arms. "What am I going to name you?" Joker thought. "How about Sky?" Joker asked the baby. The baby whimpered at the name. "I'll take that as a no. How about Winter? No. Ruby? No, I've got it. I'll name you, Jessie. Do you like that name, Jessie?" Joker asked her and smiled at him. "I'll take the smile as a yes. And your villain's name will be Jester" He said. As Joker looked at Jessie, all he could think of was his wife Jeanie and their unborn child. All the hurt, pain, and sadness Joker had that day, stayed with him ever since. "You know something, Jessie. I was going to be a daddy once, but that got taken away from me. But I think that you are my second chance at being a daddy. I won't let no one hurt you, cause if they do, Daddy will make them pay." Joker said to Jessie. As he looked down at her, he was in shock at what he saw. Jessie had grabbed his index finger and held it tight in her small, tiny hand, had her head over his heart, and was fast asleep with a tiny smile on her face.
