"UNCLE BEN, PETER TOOK THE TRUCK BUT ITS STILL MY TURN" little 5 year old y/n cried, pointing towards her older (by a few minutes) twin brother 
"no! the clock went off! it's my turn now" the boy had replied, turning his back towards his sister and playing with the truck
"Peter, your turn or not, you don't just take the toy out of peoples hands"
"but Mayyyyyy"
"Peter..." 
"sorry y/n..."
y/n woke up, with tears and a small smile on her face "morning y/n" May said, walking into y/n and Peters shared bedroom 
"finally had a somewhat good dream today May"
"that's wonderful sweetheart, wanna tell me about it?"
y/n hated when May would use that voice. that voice that made it sound like she was talking to a toddler. 
but right now it was helping her, the voice reminded her of how the good and easy times were, when Peter and y/n would argue for 5 seconds then quickly make up..back when Peter was still there to argue with. 
"you remember that day May?" y/n asked, looking up at her aunt 
"yeah, of course i do" she chuckled, wiping a tear away 
"i should uh.. get ready for school now" y/n said, sitting up from the bottom bunk.

"good morning you two, ready for school?" 
the two 6 year olds groaned, facing the middle of the bed 
"no thank you"
"come on, your uncle made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast" the two looked at each other then shook their heads "we'll eat the breakfast. but no school please" May sighed then sat down by their feet 
"school will be so much fun you know, you'll meet lots of new people and that you'll all be friends" 
they looked at each other again and simply said 
"no thank you, we have each other, that's enough for us" 
so instead the two were physically carried out of their beds by their aunt and uncle, amd went to school loving it and becoming best of friends with Ned Leeds
"hey y/n" Ned smiled weakly at one of his best friends "hi Ned" she replied quietly "how are you?.no more nightmares?" 
"not as much anymore..but all my dreams consist of him Ned.. i miss my brother so much" he nodded then wrapped his arms around the fragile girl "me too.."
"hey Penis Parker!" Flash called, y/n opened her mouth to say something to defend her brother,but he stopped her before a word could come out
"don't get into any fights on our first day of 8th grade please" 
"Peter, Eugene is being a dick, why wouldn't i fight him?" she had replied angrily 
"because all he wants is a reaction from you y/n,"
"i heard he likes you" Ned chimed in 
"that's disgusting" y/n had replied 
"but it's true" Michelle said,her head buried in a book
