Sierra's POV
"Baby? Please let me in. I'm sorry," Austin apologizes from the other side of the door. The morning light dances through the windows' curtains, the heat warming my cold body.
All night he banged on the door and yelled out cruel things to me. Some of those things a person should never have to hear. He broke most of his furniture upstairs and he even busted his truck window with a bat. At some point I eventually cried myself to sleep, wishing my dad was still here with me.
I rub the sleep from my eyes and sit up, my feet coming in contact with the soft fluffy rug on the floor. I sigh in content, but then I remember where I am. I pad softly to the door with a frown on my face as I unlock the multiple locks. I open it slowly, all while staring at the floor.
"Baby, I'm sorry," he whispers, stepping closer to me. I freeze up and my heart beat quickens in fear. "Look at me please," He says with a strain in his voice. Not wanting to upset him, I look up and blink back the tears that want to spill.
"I love you, you know that?" He asks and the excitement I thought I will feel when hearing those words is nowhere to be found. Instead of saying what I want, I nod my head and tell a lie. "I know," I whisper. "I love you too."
"Come here," he says, pulling me closer to him. He cups my face gently and kisses me with passion. For a brief moment, the Austin I fell for is back. The kiss soon starts to get heated, and his mouth trails wet sloppy kisses to my throat.
A deep moan escapes his throat as he grips and squeezes my ass in his hands. "Uh, Austin," someone says, clearing their throat. He opens his eyes and looks into mine, the anger blazing deep inside his blue orbs.
"What?" He growls, never breaking eye contact with me. After a moment, his eyes soften and he kisses me briefly before backing away. "What?" He asks the guy, finally turning around to face him.
"Uh, Samantha is here. She's downstairs waiting for you," the guy informs him and Austin curses. "Shit. She's early," he says and I crinkle my nose in confusion. "Who's Samantha?" I ask, my mind automatically jumping to conclusions.
"She's my girl," Austin says, refusing to look me in the eye. "Your girl? What do you mean your girl?" I question, anger rising within me. He turns around and smacks me hard, knocking me to the ground.
"Don't use that tone with me bitch!" He snaps, pointing a finger down at me. I place my hand over my eye and wince in pain, the hatred I feel for him bubbling inside of me like no tomorrow.
"I can fuck whoever I want. If you have a problem with that, then leave," he growls and I purse my lips, pulling myself up from the floor. I grab my bag and attempt to walk around him, but he grabs my arm and spins me around.
"Let me rephrase that. If you have a problem, suck it the fuck up. You're mine and you aren't going anywhere," he whispers in a deadly tone. "Now put your bag down and get dressed. After I get back, you and me are going to the bar. Understand?" He questions and I nod my head, afraid to speak.
"Keep an eye on her Ross," he orders his friend and the guy nods with a blank face. How could someone not react to something like this? "Don't think about leaving," he warns me before running off to his whore.
"How long?" I question with a shaky voice, looking at Ross. He gives me a sympathetic smile. "He's always been this way. Something about you drives him crazy though, he won't let you go," he tells me and I frown, a tear falling from my eye.
"We met at the hospital after I was hit with a car. Was that a coincident?" I ask him. "Something about that day always felt weird. Someone was following me then suddenly I'm hit. Hospital bills were paid anonymously then he all of a sudden shows up, working his charm."
Ross tilts his head to the side and raises an eyebrow. "What makes you think it was him who hit you?" He questions and I shrug. "I don't know. He gave off that same creepy vibe, but somehow managed to brain wash me into thinking he loved me and he would take care of me."
"I can help you escape, but you'll have to take a beating. Go about your night like you normally do. When he gets ready to leave with someone, make a run for it. Everything will be set in motion," Ross tells me and I look at him in confusion.
"What do you mean everything will be set in motion? What are you planning? Why can't you help me now? Why later? Why after I take a beating?" I fire off question after question, my face falling in defeat.
"I can't leave his side. I'll have a small time frame to set this up when you leave for the bar. Just don't act up until then. Okay?" He asks and I nod, my heart wanting to believe he's genuinely trying to help me, but my brain is screaming at me to think logically.
"Get ready. When you're done, come downstairs. He should be back in twenty minutes or so." I nod my head and sigh, closing the door softly. I slide down the wooden frame and cry silently into my hands before I pull myself together. Standing up, I make my way into the bathroom. Time to get the hell out of here. Let's just pray I make it out alive.
