Me and Cha walked inside of the restaurant Mel spotted us first and walked over to us.
"Damn K you gon make Aug want to leave the restaurant early you did a great job baybeh."
"Thanks babe," Mel and Cha kissed.
"K you can't open up your bakery across the street."
"And why not Melvin?"
"Oop she hit you with the government."
"Because you deserve to be here working with me and Aug."
"We're in different worlds."
"And let's bring them together you work as the baker here right beside me and Aug you know we'll pay you good."
I groaned and smiled.
"Fine."
"Great cause the clients here love your parfaits."
"I have to get back to the salon," Cha and Mel kisses once more than she left.
"Where's Aug?"
"In the kitchen cooking we always switch out and come talk to the clients."
"Oh okay."
"Go ahead and go to the kitchen and I'll put you on the schedule."
"Alright."
I walked over to the door and walked through it I opened the kitchen door and walked in. I glanced at Aug and he was busy chopping up vegetables.
"Damn whats your name beautiful?"
"Kierra."
"Nice to meet you I'm Jayce."
"Same to you."
"You the new chef?"
"No baker."
"Jayce leave my girl alone."
"Damn Aug this is you."
"Yep."
I walked over to the racks and grabbed a chef jacket and hat I placed the hat on then I put on the jacket. I put my purse on the rack and walked over to Aug.
"Need a hand?"
"Nah baybeh."
"Okay."
I walked over to the refrigerator and grabbed the carton of eggs. I sat them on the counter then I went over to the cabinet and got what I needed to make a chocolate cake. I then walked over to the oven and turned it on.
"K what you about to bake now?"
"Chocolate cake."
"Oh okay."
"Yep."
"Oh my damn baybeh you look gorgeous," Aug said as he finally looked at me.
"Thank you babe."
"I like the brown."
"Cha said that you would."
"Yeah I do."
I grabbed the carton of eggs and started cracking them I glanced up and Aug was still staring at me.
"Aug quit staring at K."
"I can't help myself Mel."
I blushed and added the cocoa into flour I grabbed the milk and poured just enough into the bowl I grabbed the mixer and began to mix the ingredients together.
"Well you gon have to help yourself so K can work."
"Mel you acting like K is about to be working here with us."
"That's because she is."
"Oh okay."
After I finished mixing all of the ingredients together I grabbed the Pam cooking spray and spayed the cake pan down I poured the cake batter into the pan then I sprayed another cake pan down and poured the rest of the cake batter into the pan.
Later that day
August
Jayce is closing up the restaurant so we didn't have to stay until closing. Me and K are in the living room just chilling while Shanee and Khari are doing their homework.
"Aug can you please stop staring at me."
"I can't you look to damn beautiful."
"Thank you I talked to Cha earlier."
"Bout what?"
"Emily having a problem with me when she was living."
I sighed.
"Yeah she did I told her that she didn't have anything to worry about because there was nothing going on with us."
"Right but maybe she was mad because I had you first or something idk."
"That was another reason because she had asked me who I lost my virginity to and I said you."
"All she had to do was come to me if she had a problem with me but she didn't."
"True but uh enough about Emily I got something I want to take care of."
"What's that?"
"Come on," I stood up and grabbed K hand helping her up.
"Aug what you got planned."
"You'll see."
I lead K upstairs to my room I closed and locked the door I lead K over to the bed and I laid her back.
