Barry's POV.
Barry was in his lab using a scanner to find any information. "No trace elements, no prints, no sign it was ever here, well except the. . . mess."
Barry said to Joe. "Do you have any idea what it was looking for?" Joe asked, watching Barry scan for evidence. "Me." "What? Why?" Joe asked. "It didn't like something that I did." He said, as if he was a child who had gotten punished by his parents. "And what exactly would that be?"
Barry opened his mouth to say something, but before he could Eddie came in. "Joe, Singe needs you in his office." Joe nodded and left.
"Hey, Eddie? Do you have a second?" "I've kinda gotta go and check on a lead for Joe." "Actually this is for Iris's birthday." He said. Recently Iris had told him she had been asked out by her boss, but felt guilty for wanting to accept. She felt as if she would be betraying Eddie. Barry wanted her to be happy and to be able to move on so he had an idea.
"That's two months from now." Eddie answered. "Yeah. I know. I know. You're right I just, um. . . I wanna make a video montage for her. Just everybody in her life and how her being in your life has made it better." A big smile had grown on Eddie's face. Barry knew just how much Eddie loved Iris. "That sounds great, yeah. I'll think of something to say." Eddie assured him as he turned around.
"Wait! Can we do it now? "Barry I've gotta do this thing." "I-I know. I just-I really. . . I gotta get this in today." He said, urgently. "Sure." "Okay, great!" Barry said. "Okay just um. . .speak from the heart. Talk as if-as if it was the last thing you could ever say to her." He instructed. Eddie nodded and shrugged. Barry held up his phone and began filming. "Go ahead." Eddie began. "What does Iris me a to me? Wow. . ."
That evening Barry was walking down the hall of STAR Labs and saw yellow lightning streak into the main lab. He froze then realized who it was. He sighed heavily and walked towards the doorway hearing his own voice. "Where is he? Where's the other Flash?" "Right here." He walked in. Both Barry's stared at one another. One confused and panicked the other calm and cool.
Barry sighed. This was just perfect. He looked over at Cisco and grinned helplessly. Oh well. He thought. What can you do? "Okay this was not how I expected today to turn out." Cisco said pointing at Barry. "Yeah." Barry agreed.
"Okay I'm uh, I'm sor- who are-who are you?" Past Barry asked in a confused panic. "Who is he? Who are you?" Caitlin asked. "What are you-? I'm Barry. I'm Barry! Your Barry! He's-" "Your doppelgänger!" Cisco exclaimed slowly. "No. Not yet." Barry commented. "I am you, Barry. Just. . .different."
"Wait a minute how do we know which one's the real Barry?" Cisco asked. "Dude?! I-Okay I've watched The Wrath of Kon with you five times!" Past Barry exclaimed. "Imposter!" Cisco, pointed to Barry with his right hand.
"Yeah. And every time at the end you turn to me and you say. . .I have been and always will be your friend." Barry added casually, as Cisco mouthed the words and gave the Vulcan salute . "Ah ha! You impostor!" Cisco exclaimed pointing to Past Barry with his left hand. Caitlin narrowed her eyes at Past Barry. "What is going on here?!" A freaked out Cisco asked.
Barry put his hands out. "Okay guys, I'm sorry. This was not supposed to happen. The trank dart that Caitlin gave me was supposed to last a lot longer." In the corner he could see Wells shaking his head at him and mouthing words. "I did not give him a trank dart!" Caitlin firmly denied. "Okay no. Yes. Not you. The you from the time that I am from." He tried to explain using his hands in the process. Wells smacked his hand against his forehead quietly. "The time. . .that you are from?" Past Barry asked.
Thawne rolled forward. "I think what he is trying to say is that he is from the future." "The future?" Past Barry asked for him to clarify. "Yeah." Wells answered shortly. "The future?" He asked again in disbelief. "Yes." "W-the fut-" "Yes." Wells cut him off. "Are we saying I can time travel?" Past Barry looked at Barry. He chuckled at his past selfs reaction. "One day."
