*Tony's POV*
"Hey Abs, have you seen Taylor around today?" I asked upon entering the familiar lab.
"She was here before but she went out to pick up her Halloween costume for next week. She's coming to my cemetery party with me." The gothic scientist explained with a huge smile on her face.
"Hope there's no knights there." I mumbled as I walked thoughtfully around the spotless lab.
"Knights?"
"You know what I mean. Guys in chain mail and phoney British accents and all that chivalry stuff."
"Why would that affect Tay?"
"She likes knights." I said with a slight jealous tone to my voice.
"She does? Since when?"
"Since she got into a conversation with a knight about her latest tatt."
"She showed him her tatt in public?!"
"It's on her shoulder blade Abby, it's not exactly an intimate place." I watched her expression change from shock to secretive. "She's got another tatt hasn't she?" My curiosity was sparked once more.
"I'm not saying anything." The forensic expert turned back to her computer.
"Where is it?" I asked moving closer to her.
"I'm not saying anything." She repeated.
"Come on Abby, I'm curious now."
"If you really want to know then ask Taylor."
"Are you kidding? She'd kill me."
Abby smiled and then returned to the beeping noise the computer seemed to be making at her. "I'm guessing you came down here for the results?" She asked turning to me.
"That's what Gibbs sent me for...he also wanted a location for Taylor; I thought she might be hiding down here."
"Why would she be hiding? Her and Gibbs seem to be alright again now, which I think is some record for this team."
"Yeah well, Taylor has a way of making everyone care." I mumbled to myself.
"What about you?"
"What?"
"Do you care about Taylor?" Abby held that knowing glint in her bright eyes.
"I--uh-"
"I knew it! I had my suspicions for a while but it was obvious that you had feelings for her!" She clapped her hands and suddenly looked really excited.
"Geez, why don't you shout it to the whole of NCIS? Besides, I don't have those sort of feelings for her!"
"The glowing tips of your red ears indicate you are lying to me Tony." Abby grinned.
"Just give me the results for Gibbs." I said, glaring at the tall, grinning girl.
She handed me the print out and I was skimming over it where the sound of an explosion caused me to instinctively draw my gun and look towards the door. "What was that?" Abby asked, rushing to try and look out of the small windows that were too high for her even when she stood on a chair.
"I don't know." I said, craning my neck for a better view as I joined her. I still couldn’t see anything though but there was smoke billowing towards the glass
McGee came running into the lab, his face flushed and slightly out of breath. "Taylor's car just blew up." He stated.
"What? Is she alright?" I asked, putting my gun away and moving quickly towards him.
