"Ugghhhh" Jungkook grunted, flopping down on the bean bag.

"What's up Kook?" Namjoon questioned the youngest.

It was a Monday night. All the boys excluding Jin had gathered in Namjoon's house with nothing particular in mind. They hadn't been very successful in doing anything productive and had ended up wasting the entire day doing nothing.

"I am hungry and tired although I haven't moved a muscle all day!" Jungkook whined, "And also, why did Jin hyung go to his shop at this hour?" he asked Namjoon.

"I don't know what exactly happened, but I think he got a call from one of his neighboring shops" Namjoon muttered, as he skimmed through the news on his phone.

"Call about?" Taehyung asked. He was lying upside down on the sofa, playing mobile games.

"I think all the neighborhood shop owners have a meeting" Hoseok hummed.

"Yeah, but it's almost midnight" Jimin pointed out. He was sitting next to Yoongi on the sofa, the two sharing some ice-cream.

"These meetings tend to go on for some time" Namjoon replied, this wasn't the first time Jin had gone to one of those late-night shop owners' meetings.

"I'm really sleepy, we had way too many customers today" Yoongi yawned and kissed Jimin's cheek as he stood up to leave. Jimin instantly turned bright red and was soon being teased by Taehyung and Jungkook. Yoongi smirked and bid goodnight to the boys, leaving Jimin behind, struggling to get away from the other two.

"Ah... ah, please let me go guys!" Jimin wheezed, Taehyung and Jungkook tickling him mercilessly. All three were tangled on the floor, Hoseok and Namjoon laughed along with them.

Suddenly, Namjoon's phone buzzed.

"Hello?"

"Hello, is this Mr Kim Namjoon?"

"Yes"

"Sir, we are calling from the City Hospital, ER Department, your number was listed as an emergency contact in Mr Kim Seokjin's phone" the caller paused.

'Kim Seokjin?' it took Namjoon a second to process that Kim Seokjin was Jin, they rarely called him by his full name.

"Sir, Mr Seokjin was caught in an accident in his laundry shop, it would be helpful if you could come to the hospital immediately"

"Yes, I will" his voice was merely a whisper.

"Please do hurry, his condition is critical, if you could also inform his family, we aren't sure if he will make it" the caller continued. They were trained to remain calm even in the worst cases, but Namjoon could sense the urgency in his voice.

"I'll be there" he replied as the color drained from his face and he cut the call. His legs felt weak and unsteady.

All of a sudden, he recalled what he had over heard from Jin's conversation with his neighboring shop's owner. Jin had mentioned something about smoke and a faulty machine.

If only he had been a little more attentive.

If only he hadn't let Jin go alone.
