The Road to Vaes Dothrak - Year 300

It had been three months of proper love between Dany and her husband, and they were both showing their happiness at that fact to all of those around them. Dany was growing stronger, more used to the harsh conditions that the Dothraki thrived off of, and she was coming into herself, becoming the Targaryen she had always been, but had been afraid to show. Khal Drogo was also becoming stronger, fiercer. They had taken over one khalasar already on the road to Vaes Dothrak, and he was sure they would be able to take a few more before they arrived.

Dany though, as close as she felt to Drogo, wanted to learn more about the people she was supposed to be ruling.

"Do the Dothrakis buy their slaves?" She asked Ser Jorah as they rode steadily through the fields, the grass waving proudly on either side of them.

"The Dothraki don't believe in money. Most of their slaves were given to them as gifts."

"From whom?"

"If you rule a city and you see the horde approaching, you have two choices: pay tribute or fight. An easy choice for most. Of course, sometimes it's not enough. Sometimes a Khal feels insulted by the number of slaves he's given. He might think the men too weak or the women too ugly. Sometimes a Khal decides his riders haven't had a good fight in months and need the practice." Dany heard a scream and turned in her saddle to see a Dothraki man strike a slave with a whip, telling him to move faster. Dany turned back in her seat, feeling like she needed to scream, cry, just do something.

"Tell them all to stop."

"You want the entire horde to stop? For how long?" Dany gave Jorah a glare before she began dismounting her mare.

"Until I command them otherwise."

"You're learning to talk like a Queen." Dany began walking away from the people, into the grass before she turned back with a smirk.

"Not a Queen Ser Jorah. A Khaleesi." Dany took a moment to breathe once she reached a small bare area, before whiling around as thundering hoofs came from the direction she had just left. It was Viserys, blazing through the grass with his sword drawn, cutting down stalks as he went. When he reached her, he pointed the sword at her throat.

"You dare! You give commands to me? To me! I am Lord of the Seven Kingdoms. I don't take orders from savages or their sluts. Do you hear me?" Before Viserys could say anymore, Rakharo, the brother of one of Drogo's blood-riders, the man that Drogo had assigned to Dany, to protect her with his life, charged through the grass, and whipped Viserys, wrapping the leather around his neck, and pulling him backwards off his horse, and to the ground. Rakharo said some glutteral words to Irri, who had followed him, but Dany could not understand it.

"Rakharo aski if you want him dead, Khaleesi." Irri said calmly, glaring at her Khaleesi's brother.

"No!" Rakharo apparently did not need translation for that word, as he said something else to Irri.

"Rakharo say you should take ear, to teach respect."

"Please, please, don't hurt him. Tell him I don't want my brother harmed." Rakharo huffed before loosening the whip to let Viserys free, who rose and, seeing Jorah, who had followed behind Rakharo, immediately started yelling orders.

"Kill these Dothraki dogs!" When Jorah looked between Dany and Viserys, Viserys' face became mad with rage, as he started to trow a fit, that reminded Dany of a three year old boy she had seen asking for treats once.

"I am your King!"

"Shall we return to the Khalasar, Khaleesi?" Jorah asked, offering Dany his arm. She nodded before glancing at Viserys one last time, and followed Jorah away. The last thing she heard before she was completely surrounded by the grasses was Rakharo.

"You walk."

The Road to Vaes Dothrak - That Evening - Dany's Tent

Irri was braiding Daenerys' hair, while trying to teach her Dothraki.

"She-kh." Irri chuckled before saying the word again.

"Sh-kha."

"Sh-kha."

"Yes, Khaleesi." Irri said, moving around Dany to check that the braids were even, before stopping and putting her hand on Dany's breast.

"What are you doing?"

"When was last time you bleed, Khaleesi? You change, Khaleesi. It's a blessing from teh Great Stallion." She was pregnant. Dany... was pregnant. How could that be? Well, of course she knew that it was possible, she was a flowered lady, and Drogo had been bedding her every night, at least once, since they met. So she shouldn't have been as surprised as she was.

"Irri, go fetch me some cold water, and find me something that isn't horse for my dinner."

"Yes, Khaleesi." Irri said before running out of the tent. Dany looked down at her belly, with a smile. It was a boy, she knew it would be a boy. Maybe he will have Drogo's dark black hair, and tan, wonderful skin. With her eyes. He would be beautiful, and so strong. He would be a dragon. A dragon with a Khalesar to rule, and hopefully, he would rule the Seven Kingdoms as well.

The Road To Vaes Dothrak - A Few Hours Later - Dany's Tent

When she had told Drogo that she was pregnant, he had attacked her, and made love to her like he wanted to add another baby. But it had been a few hours, and she knew he could not go again, so she curled up at his side, and played with the hair on his chest and decided to surprise him.

"It's a boy."

"How do you know?"

"I know."

A/N: I know, this one isn't very long. I'm sorry! But in S1E3 Dany doesn't really do much besides... you know... get pregnant and start being her. I'm trying to do this book so that each chapter will correlate with an episode, but we will se how that goes, I've managed so far! Anyway, please do comment and vote!
