Previously on The Wolf Shifter's Saviour:

We manage to get to a safer area unnoticed and stop by a door.

"Keith, are you at our location?" Shiro questions.

"Yeah, I'm ready" a voice replies.

Pidge starts to mess with the control panel for the door.

"Hey!" A soldier shouts and fires his gun.

I hear Jaidak grunt in pain as the door opens, pulling us all out of the ship and into the mouth of... a lion?

 a lion?

Y/N POV

I fall hard on the cold metal ground, wining in discomfort. Shiro and Pidge lay on the floor panting heavily. A pain filled groan fills our ears, as we look towards Jaidak to find him bleeding profusely.

"Jaidak!" Pidge shouts, running to the Galra's aid.

Her sudden shout spikes fear in me. I know all too well that shouting always ends with me in pain. My tail tucks between my legs and my ears fall flat against my skull. Shiro notices my sudden distress and reaches out to me. This only adds to my stress as I back away with a whimper.

"Hey, it's ok. You're safe now" he tries to sooth.

However, I only continue backing away. My back legs hit something hard and I turn around to see a large pile of boxes. I use this to my advantage and squeeze myself into the gap between the wall and boxes, finding comfort in the shadows. Shiro sighs in defeat and leaves me to my comforts. He walks over to Pidge and Jaidak.

"How bad is it?" He asks.

"He's got a pretty bad wound on his thigh. We can heal him in the pods back at the castle, but their's significant nerve damage. His leg may never be the same" Pidge informs, applying pressure to the wound.

"That's not good" Shiro says, while Jaidak releases another pained cry.

The room shakes roughly, causing me to shift further into my dark corner. A boy suddenly walks out of a room right next to my hiding place. Whimpering in distress, I accidentally gain his attention.

He walks towards my location slowly, spotting my (W/E/C) eyes glowing in the darkness as they reflect the lights. He crouches down to my eye level and holds his hand out, not saying a word.

I study the boy curiously. His violet eyes stare straight into my (W/E/C) ones. His face holds no emotion, but I sense no hostility in him. I cautiously edge towards his hand, not daring to brake contact with those purple orbs. I lift my nose to his hand intending to take in his scent, when a loud voice suddenly fills the room. Any progress the boy had was lost when I cower back into the darkness.
