Alexander Hamilton

School started today. John and I had the same first class of the day at nine a.m. so we left the apartment at the same time. John ended up changing his major at semester so he was an art major now.

Once we got to class, we found our seats. It was an advanced history course. Washington was the professor. He was also the debate professor which I was in as well. John was taking the history class with me because he needed more humanities credits.

When we walked in, Washington greeted us, "Good to see you again, son."

"I'm not your son." I said, cringing.

"Sorry." He said after a moment, chuckling, "Good to see you, too, John."

John nodded with a smile.

We found our seats. Class went by rather quickly. We were just going over the syllabus, we probably would be in all of our classes for the next couple days.

After we were dismissed, John and I went our separate ways to our next classes, he pecked my lips softly before saying, "See you later, Lex."

"Bye." I said.

Aaron Burr was in my next course, being an advanced law class. I sat next to him.

"How are you feeling, Alexander?" He asked, looking at me.

I sighed, knowing this would be how the day would pan out, "I'm doing better. Thanks."

"I'm here for you if you ever need to talk, Theo is, too."

"I know. I appreciate it." I said, forcing a smile.

He just nodded in response, wearing a small smile as well.

The class began, it dragged on as I expected.

When it was finally over, I was off to my eleven a.m. class: debate.

When I walked in, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison were there. I internally screamed.

"Hamilton." Thomas sneered.

"Jefferson." I responded with a similar tone of voice.

Angelica was also there, I mentally thanked whatever higher power was out there. I walked toward her and sat next to her.

"Hi, Alex." She smiled, "Are you feeling better?"

I nodded, "I'm still not one hundred percent but I'm getting there."

"That's good." She said, "I'm here for you."

"I know. Thanks." I said. I was annoyed but decided to keep it to myself.

It wasn't long before Washington started the class.

"Welcome to debate. It's good to see some familiar faces, I'll start by taking attendance and we can begin. Don't worry, we're not going to go over the syllabus in this class, they're all pretty much the same thing anyway."

Sighs of relief were heard, I chuckled.

After Washington recorded attendance, he began speaking again, "We're going to do a practice debate. We're going to brainstorm debate topics and then vote on which one we want to debate.

"Women's rights!" Angelica said as she raised her hand.

Washington nodded and wrote it on the board.

"Taxes?" I suggested. He added it to the list.

"Free health care." James said after a cough.

"Anyone else?" Washington asked.
