Keith tossed and turned in his hospital bed. He was having a nightmare consisting of flashbacks of the day his dad had died and the days that followed. Keith's eyes shot open as he sat up, screaming, his flesh felt as if it was burning.

"Are you okay?! Sir? Are you-" the night nurse said, slamming the door open and turning on the lights. Once the nurse got a good look at Keith, her eyes widened as she let out a loud scream.

"God..." Lance muttered as he dropped his fork. "I don't know what's worst. This or the food from the Garrison"
"Lance" Pidge said. "Shut up and eat it, it's good for you"
"Well, that was kinda rude" commented Allura as she allowed the space mice to have some of her eggs.
"Hey, guys? Did anyone hear screaming last night?" Hunk asked, worry in his eyes.
"Yeah, it sounded like it was coming from Keith's room" Pidge replied. "Lance? Think you can check up on him?"
" Oh! Well....um.. " Lance said in surprise. "Sure..."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lance walked down the hall, nervous. He had no idea what could've lead to all the screaming that was coming from Keith's room, he also didn't know how grumpy Keith would be. Lance approached the door, he took a deep breath.
"You can do this" Lance told himself. "You can do this"
Lance knocked softly on the door, calling Keith's name. No response. So he knocked again, this time slightly louder.

"Go away!" Keith shouted from the other side of the door.
"Hey, Keith, it's me. Lance. The others are worried!" Lance said calmly.
"Lance, just tell them that I'm fine!"
"I'm not sure I can do that. Just please let me check up on you!"
"NO!"
"I'm sorry buddy, but, I'm coming in!"
"LANCE!!!"

Lance opened the door, only to see how dark the room was. He felt the wall for a light switch before turning the lights on; Keith was on the bed, wrapped up in blanket and laying on his stomach, not even his hair was visible.
"Is everything okay?" Lance asked as he pulled back the curtains.
"Ugh...yes. Now, go away." Keith huffed.

Lance rolled his eyes at this.
"No. I'm here to check up on you! So what's wrong!" Lance yelled.
"Nothing. Just...just please-"

Before Keith could finish, Lance grabbed the blanket that covered Keith, and ripped it away from Keith, causing him to roll onto his back.
"Lance! What in the quiznak was that!" Keith yelled.
Lance didn't speak, he just stared at Keith. Keith had purple fur on him, his ears were outstretched and furry. The whites of his eyes were now yellow, and there seemed to be some violet highlights in his hair.

"Keith?" Lance said "W-what happened?"
"I don't know" Keith sighed. "This just happened last night. The nurse...she was frightened. If you want to leave, then I understand."

"No, no! I won't. I'm just a little surprised. But, this is who you are, though to be honest I didn't expect you to go full Galra, but...... Eh?" Lance told him.
"What will the others say?" Asked Keith.
"I'm sure they'll-"
"No! Allura might hate me more than before, I don't know how Romelle will react, and everyone at the Garrison! They don't even know I'm part Galra! How will they react to seeing me like this?!" Keith yelled. "And Coran! Oh geez, he might.....I don't know, he might do tests on me or something..."

"Keith! Calm down. You're still a hero, the leader of Voltron, and friend of everyone on the team. Nobody will judge you for this, and if they do, I'll fight them." Lance said reassuringly, placing a hand on Keith's shoulder.
Keith laughed a little.
"Thanks Lance." He muttered.
"No problem! By the way, what was all the screaming last night about?"
"Oh! Um....nothing."
"Oh really? It didn't sound like 'nothing'" Lance sat down near Keith. "So can you please tell me?"

"Okay, fine" Keith said, sitting up. "It just involved me and my dad. We were just....just hanging out when a building near by caught on fire. He wanted to help whoever was in there, despite everyone, including myself, telling him to not do it..." Tears started to form in Keith's eyes "but he did. And then my dream cut to his funeral and how mad my grandparents were at me for not talking him out of it"

"Oh my god....Keith, I- I didn't know." Lance told Keith. "I'm sorry"
"It's fine Lance, I didn't expect you to know anyways"
Lance, feeling bad for asking Keith to talk about it, leaned over and hugged him. He started copying something his mother would do, by stroking Keith's hair and giving him a literal shoulder to cry on.
"It's going to be alright, just let it all out. You'll feel better after crying." Lance muttered.

After a couple minutes of sobbing, Keith really did feel better. He smiled at Lance as he thanked him.
"No problem, now let's go and see the others."
"Yeah...and Lance?"
"Yes?"
"Do you if Taylor is still here?"
"Taylor? Who's that?"
"Oh, just some guy I had a crush on. Wonder how's he doing."
Lance began to think of if he knew a guy named Taylor, until it hit him. His own nickname was 'The Tailor', so Keith was really talking about Lance.
"He's um...doing well" Lance lied, not knowing how to react.

"That's great! Where is he?" Keith asked.
"I- I don't know" Lance really didn't want to say who 'Taylor' really is.

Once the two of them got to the table after a while, the others didn't say anything for a long couple of minutes.
"So..... what took so long" Pidge asked at last.
"Oh, nothing" replied Keith nonchalantly.
"What?! Are you kidding me? I freaking hugged you !" Lance yelled.
"Really? Well, I don't remember it, so it didn't happen" Keith said with a smirk.

Once Lance saw that smirk, he knew what Keith was doing. Keith was pulling the exact same move that he had pulled years ago.
"You clever son of a gun" uttered Lance.
