August I woke up did my hygiene and made my way over to Shanee room. I walked in and turned her light seeing her sleep with one leg hanging out of the bed I shook my head and walked over to her.
"Shanee wake up baby," I said as I shook her lightly.
Shanee rolled over on her side I chuckled cause she's just like Emily.
"A'Shanee Hailey Alsina it's time to get up."
"Not my whole name," she whined.
"Get up."
Shanee sighed she rolled back over and opened her eyes and mugged me.
"You don't scare me lah girl get up it's time for you to get ready for school."
"Yes sir."
Shanee pulled her covers back she stood up and stretched I headed towards her closet but was stopped by Shanee.
"Daddy can I pick out my clothes today?"
I turned towards Shanee.
"Yeah you can baybeh."
"Okay love you daddy."
"Love you too."
I walked out of Shanee room and closed the door I seen K coming out of Khari room.
"Shanee finally told you that she wants to pick out her own clothes?"
"Yeah."
"Aug the day was going to come on where she wants to decide what she wants to wear."
"Yeah I know and as many times as I prepared myself for this day I'm a little hurt."
K walked over to me and hugged me.
"It's okay Aug I felt the same way when Khari told me."
"Yeah," I said as I sighed.
"How about I go cook breakfast?"
"You don't have to do that K."
"But I want to."
"What I'm supposed to do?"
"Take a shower."
I nodded K let me go and walked down the stairs I turned towards my room and walked in I closed the door behind me I made my way to the bathroom to take my shower. I decided to take my time and wash my hair since K is cooking breakfast usually me and Shanee will just grab breakfast on the way to school after we watched cartoons together.
I stepped out of the shower with my hair dripping wet I grabbed my towel for my hair and the other for my body, I wrapped the towel around my waist and the other around my neck I walked out of the bathroom letting all of steam out. I walked into my closet to find me something to wear.
"Aug," I heard K call.
I walked out of my closet with my eyebrows raised.
"Wazzam K."
I watched as her eyes roamed my body then she finally made eye contact with me.
"Breakfast is ready I just went with grits, bacon and toast."
"Alright I'll be down in a minute."
"Okay."
K looked at me once more then walked out closing my room door behind her. I made my way back into my closet to get dressed.
I finally made my way downstairs seeing K taking a picture of Shanee then she switched to take a picture of Khari.
