Peter's POV
The celebration was indeed an event well prepared. The feast was huge with all of the goodies that Scott and some lost boys brought for us to eat.
After the feast, everybody was fool and usually sat down somewhere and had a few conversations here and there. I walked around a few times to make sure the celebration was lifting up everyone's spirit, but it seemed that only one spirit remained lonely.
Rae.
I shook out all of my nerves and anger that I had before and took a deep breath before approaching Rae. She sat on a log in front of the fire being isolated from everyone else.
" Besides crowing, I've gotta get my life together with this relationship. " , I spoke first as I sat next to her.
" I'm sorry for hurting your feelings. " , Rae confessed with a frown.
" It's okay. I understand that it's suppose to be a reality for you. I mean you are a princess so it's normal for one to date a prince rather than a villian. " , I said calmly before patting her back gently.
" So you aren't mad? " , she asked surprised.
" I was mad, but I decided to approach this calmly. I'm trying something new. " , I nudged her shoulder.
Rae cracked a smile before she leaned her head on my shoulder and poked where my heart was located.
" I must say that you are slowly changing, Peter. Your dark heart must be lighting up more than usual. " , Rae said softly.
" As long as I'm with you, I feel the darkness slowly fading away. " , I said gently before kissing her forehead.
" Forget the princes and the castle and that royalty stuff. I'm not a princess anymore and I prefer to forget the past. " , Rae waved her hand off.
I lightly chuckled at her response before holding her hand gently.
" You are still a princess in my eyes. " , I smiled slightly.
" And you make a wicked prince charming. " , Rae giggled before kissing my cheek.
Sadly, the moment ended when I heard the annoying voice of Devin.
Devin.
That one lost boy that I wish would get lost on his own.
" Pan, play a few notes! " , Devin exclaimed while pulling my arm.
" Nah. " , I waved him off.
" Oh please, Pan! " , the lost boys cried out.
" Shoo! I'm trying to enjoy a moment here. " , I muttered.
" Too bad. " , Petra snickered before throwing me my pipe.
Rae laughed softly before she stood up and joined the lost boys, Petra, and Scott in now the crowd campfire.
" Alright. " , I said while raising my hand.
Silence.
" Get in places! " , I ordered.
The lost boys scrambled to either grab their instruments lying around camp or find two sticks to make noises with. Petra led Scott to a log.
" Hold me, please. " , she said innocently.
" Of course, lucky charm. " , Scott chuckled before pulling her to sit on his lap with his arms around her.
Rae sat down on a log near Petra and Scott and smiled at me.
" Ready? " , I asked while holding my pipe close to my mouth.
" READY! " , they all shouted.
I closed my eyes before I blew into the pipe that causes the elegant music to come out. I opened my eyes when I continued to play softly.
Suddenly, the boys started to tap the sticks against one another in a rhythm. That signaled the musical boys to play their instrument and I played my pipe a little faster.
Noises and hollers were voiced as the lost boys surrounded me, along with the campfire, jumping and turning in a huge circle. I smirked knowing that the enchantment worked on them easily.
My little snowflake clapped her hands in rhythm with excitement as she giggled with sparkles in her blue eyes. Devin grabbed her hand and got Rae involved in the circle as she joined in the fun.
Petra and Scott clapped before other lost boys pulled them into the circle of fun. Petra taught Scott the dance moves as Devin sticked next to Rae to keep her company.
I smiled slightly seeing joy displayed on Rae and my sister. That was all I needed to relax myself and continue playing some notes.
Tonight was indeed a celebration for us. A celebration not only because we defeated Victor and I got my regin back, but because I found myself surrounded by loyal people that I knew I could count on.
A long everlasting night in Neverland that brought joy, laughter, giggles, excitement, noises, hollering, cheering, and fun at camp. And I, for once, acually enjoyed the atmosphere when I cracked a smile to myself.
Not only can I crow, but I do know how to play the pipe.
What can I say? I have many hidden talents.
A/N: I need to be at that celebration 🙋🏽♀️ Invite me over 💁🏽♀️ Anyways, hope you are liking the story!
