"A budget." My jaw dropped.
"If we're going to live together then we'll be paying for things together, and you're not the best at saving money or making smart moves with it."
"Like how?"
"Like going on shopping sprees and spending $4,000 on shoes alone." He pointed out.
"How do you know what I buy?"
"Do you think I don't pay attention to what you buy? I had access to your credit card statements and I checked them every month. I'm not naive. And if you want to live with me then you're going to learn how to budget and save and be smarter with your money."
I bit my lip as I anxiously tapped my foot against the ground.
"Fine." I reluctantly agreed.
He smiled successfully.
Those were the main points he had, the rest were just little things that we agreed on deciding once moved in.
The next afternoon, after spending the morning looking at places in Georgetown, I got a call from Gran asking me if I wanted to have tea with her.
"Of course." I answered. "When?"
"Tomorrow. And why don't you bring Harry as well."
"Sure. I'll see if he can come."
After getting off the phone with her I got out from behind my desk and made my way down the halls to Harry's office.
As I approached his office I noticed he had a group of the agents standing in his office so I waited outside while he talked to them.
"Some of these reports that i've been getting need to be more detailed. I need you to input directions, street names, car colours, simple things like that. It's those small details that can change a case if we end of having an issue. Also there are common grammatical errors in the reports that are just ridiculous, so spell check and learn what a comma is. That's all." Harry said and the agents began to file out of the room.
I began to make my way in, Harry looking at me while the agents greeted me, Liam smiling at me and patting my shoulder as he left.
Once they were all gone I knew I had his full attention.
"Hey." I smiled and went to sit on one of the chairs in front of his desk.
"What can I help you with?" He smiled softly.
"Gran invited us to her place for tea tomorrow. Do you think you can take a couple hours off and come with me?" I asked him sweetly.
He sighed as he went to his computer and began to click his finger on the mouse.
"Yes. But next time i'd appreciate more notice."
I nodded.
"Thank you." I said as I stood up.
So the next day I wore a white dress designed by Max Mara, and met Harry at the West Wing exit where we would take a car to the airport so we could travel an hour by plane to my Gran's house in Massachusetts.
