You didn't know why Ruby was like this. At the beginning of your relationship the need for her to control everything you did wasn't as bad as it was now. 
                          
Yes, your past in the dating scene wasn't one to be proud of. You weren't proud of it because you would often mess around with 3 girls at once. But now, you found someone that loved you and you made a promise to yourself that you were NOT going to fuck around with her. 
                          
Two years into your relationship you noticed a slight change in her. She tried to stop you from hanginging out and seeing a few of your close friends but you didn't allow her to have that sort of control over you. She didn't like it at the beginning but she let it go when you threatened to break-up with her. 
                          
She took it a step further when she told you that the clothing you were wearing would attract other females' attention. You were literally wearing a jeans with a simple tank top and a jacket. How would that attract any attention? But, to make her happy you changed what you were wearing and changed many of the outfits you had begun  wearing for the next few months.
                          
All you wanted was for her to trust you and see that you love her with everything in you. Was that so difficult?  
                          
Right now, you guys were screaming at each other about YOUR social media platforms. 
                          
She literally didn't want you to be on Twitter and Instagram anymore because other girls would "always DM you". Yes girls did DM you and tweet you but you never replied to them or you just told them, in a very nice way, that you had a girlfriend and that they should back off. 
                          
"You're not allowed to be on Twitter or Instagram anymore. I'm so serious right now" she screams at you.  
                          
All you can do is laugh and not believe what she's saying right now. Is she serious? 
                          
"If you want to be on your social media platforms, you can only be on there when you tweet about me or post a picture of me. You can't use it for nothing else Y/N. I swear". 
                          
Has she lost her mind or something?, " what? you're joking ri-"
                          
Once again she cuts you off when you want to speak,  "and don't think that I don't see you tweeting that Rebecca girl, are you cheating on me Y/N?" 
                          
The other day, you posted a picture of yourself on Twitter and some girl named Rebecca replied with a "you're pretty" and all you said was a simple no harm "thank you".  Now Ruby thinks you're cheating on her because of some reply. You had to laugh. 
                          
"Babe, I only said "thank you" to her because she said something nice about my picture, that's not cheating, are you okay?"
                          
"Of course I'm okay Y/N and now you think you know what cheating means? Huh? You're unbelievable" she scoffs. 
                          
"I'm unbelievable? I'm not the one trying to control my girlfriends every move, I'm not telling her who to hang out with and I'm definitely NOT telling her what to post and do on her social media" you scream. 
                          
This shuts her up. She doesn't know what to say and she knows it.
                          
"I-" 
                          
"You what Ruby? Whats next?" you scream. 
                          
"I just don't trust you, that's it"
                          
"Wow. After 2 years together, you still can't find it in you to trust me. A relationship is built on trust Ruby. I've done everything you told me to, I've tolerated your control and I've dealt with but this, this is on another level and if it continues.... " you trail off. 
                          
"You're going to leave me like everyone else did" she says, voice trembling. Tears are welling up in her eyes too. 
                          
"Yes. If it continues we'll have to break-up because I can't do this. You have to trust me and you trying to change me and take things away from me is not going to help. It's only going to make me leave" you say sincerely. 
                          
If it gets worse you will have no choice but to leave, you hate being smothered and the fact that she's doing all of this is making you doubt this relationship. 
                          
"It's either I leave or we work on this controlling aspect of yours. I won't leave you Ruby. Baby you know that, I love you". 
                          
You pull her into your arms and hold her. 
                          
"Okay. I'll try to back-off a bit, it's just that what you've done in the past... " she trails off and she looks up at you. 
                          
You smile, "my past is my past babe. You're my future. You can trust me, I won't dissapoint you". 
"I love you too baby. And you couldn't leave my crazy ass, even if you tried" she says with a smirk. 
                          
"Of course not. I love your crazy ass to infinity and beyond baby". 
                          
You just hope that she keeps her word on backing-off and controlling you.
