Ever since the announcement that solo songs were going to be apart of the new album, all of the members have been working hard nonstop to ensure quality music which represents themselves as artists.

Some people have been having a bit more trouble than others, lacking in experience and such.

Jackson and Jaebum knew what they were doing, being two of the members who've had experience in the world of producing before. Everyone was good at thinking of lyrics, they were usually something the members came up with together.

Mark and Jinyoung were the most level headed about it, not getting as frustrated, and just trying again and again.

However, the maknae line were the ones who were struggling the most.

Jaebum had suggested asking 3RACHA for help, since they were kids who knew what they were doing, Han Jisung being only seventeen but an excellent producer. But the younger idols were busy and none of the members wanted to bother them.

"I'm dying," Youngjae groans, putting his face in his hands. "Why is this hard? Why do some people actually enjoy this? Why does Chan spend ample hours doing this when sleep is so much more appealing—"

"Shut up," Bambam barks, taking his headphones off of his ears. "I think we can all agree that this is aggravating, but that isn't helping hyung."

Meanwhile, Yugyeom's headphones were still on, blocking his ears from listening to Youngjae and Bambam bicker.

Even if he was struggling with producing his music, getting the sounds and beat just right, he was doing better than Bambam and Youngjae.

His eyes stayed glue to the computer screen, where the music software was pulled up. It's ridiculous how long and calculating it is and takes to make a simple base beat for a song, but Yugyeom doesn't find it in himself to complain. He likes it, thinks it's fun to analyze and choose exactly what sounds you'd want in your song. He likes how you can customize everything about your own song, how all the decisions were made by him.

Maybe this was why Chan liked spending so much time creating his group's music.

Or at least, that's what Yugyeom thinks when he finally finds the perfect beat for his song.

"Fuck, fuck yes! Fina-fucking-ly holy shit!" Yugyeom cries out happily, shocking Youngjae and Bambam out of their skin.

"Calm down, holy shit," Youngjae mumbles, standing up and putting his headphones away. He stretches his back out with his hands clasped above his head. "I'm heading in, it's too late and my brain is fried," he sighs.

Just as Youngjae heads towards the door, Bambam abruptly sits up from his chair.

"Wait!" He calls. "I'll come with you."

With that, Bambam shuts his laptop down, not before saving his work, takes off his headphones and joins Youngjae by the door.

"You gonna stay here?" The Thai boy asks Yugyeom, who's still sitting down with his laptop on and headphones in, watching the other two males.

Numbly, Yugyeom nods, earning small smiles from Youngjae and Bambam.

"Alright, but don't stay too long baby," Bambam says, and Yugyeom nods once again before the elder two boys leave.

When he's left alone in the studio, Yugyeom finds that his thoughts and ideas flow better, and that he can actually get a few things jotted down and onto his track. Maybe it's because the telltale sounds of Youngjae and Bambam tapping away at their laptops isn't there.

Either way, he focuses himself one hundred percent on his music track, simultaneously jotting lyric ideas down as he plays with the buttons and different sounds on the music software.

Times flies by fast, and before Yugyeom knows it, it's nearing 2:00am in the morning.

He's gotten a lot of work done, being really close to finishing all the music for his track, and having three lines of lyrics done.

That was a lot compared to how much he thought he'd have done by this point.

To say he was proud would be an understatement.

To say he was tired would also be an understatement. Every time he blinks his eyes, Yugyeom feels them burn because of how tired he was.

If he hadn't lost track of time, then he for sure would've already been back in bed, maybe next to Jinyoung as well.

But he has, and now his muscles ache and his eyes hurt and he's pretty sure everyone's asleep, so there's also no one to accompany him back home.

But he can't ask for everything all the time. He knows that.

"Get up," he mumbles to himself, pushing himself out of the chair.

Once he's up, work saved, laptop turned off, and stumbling to grab his coat, Yugyeom hears the studio door open.

"It's so late," the voice remarks, sounding tired and gravelly. "What are you still doing here?"

Yugyeom hums, shrugging his coat on and turning around sleepily to look at his hyung.

"I had a moment," he mumbles, voice static and words slurring together. When the elder looks at him with an eyebrow cocked up, Yugyeom rephrases. "I had a few moments. I'm almost done the song." He says.

The boy standing in front of Yugyeom eye's brighten, seemingly happy to hear that information.

"Good," is all the elder says. "I thought you'd have a hard time, but it's nice to see that you're doing well."

"Thanks," Yugyeom says on an exhale of breath, closing his eyes for a few seconds, only to open them to see the other holding his arms open. Yugyeom takes him up on that offer, ungracefully falling into his arms, nuzzling into his neck and leaving a small kiss there. "I'm so sleepy hyung," he whispers.

A raspy chuckles rips itself out of the throat of the boy who's holding him, and he feels lips press against the top of his head.

"Yeah? Then let's get home? Go to sleep?"

Mumbling incoherent nonsense, Yugyeom tightens his hold on the elder.

"I wanted Jinyoung hyung tonight, but I guess you're warm too," he says cheekily, still finding it in himself to be sly in this state.

"You're awfully rude," the other boy scoffs, pinching Yugyeom's sides. "Come on," he starts, shrugging Yugyeom off of his body. "Let's go."

Humming, the maknae interlocks his fingers with Jaebum's, walking back sleepily and happily to their dorms.
