Wendy's P.O.V.

"Hey, Carla?"

"What is it child?"

"I was wondering, when am I gonna get a boyfriend of my own."

"You're far to young to even think about a boyfriend Wendy. Wait a few more years and it'll come."

"Yeah, but, so many people in the guild are together now. Natsu and Lucy are together, Gray and Juvia are really getting along and Erza told me she was secretely dating Jellal. But I have no one."

"Once you get closer to their age, I'm sure the boys will come running after you."

"Hm. I guess so."

We keep on walking down the road to get back to Fairy Hills, we just came from the park and, as usual, I was on the swing alone with only Carla at my side. I love being with Carla, I don't mean anything against her. It's just, it would be nice to have another companion every once in a while.

"Hey Wendy!"

The moment I enter the guild hall, a boy calls my name. One that I don't usually talk to. I turn to the voice's direction and see a black haired boy running to me, a grin plastered on his face. He really does look like Natsu. Macao told me that for the seven years we were gone, he didn't even smile once. That must've been terrible for him. I can't imagine what it's like to not smile, or even just peep a smile for so long. I felt so bad when I heard that. And he looked up to Natsu so much, like he was his older brother. And I understand why. It must've been so hard on him being let down by his idol. And to think, if we hadn't have come back, he might've gone off the rest of his life frowning, day and night.

"Hi Romeo!" I call back to him. He stops on front of me with a huge smile on his face, panting just a bit, since he was running after all.

"I saw you at the park yesterday with Carla, you were on the swing when I passed by."

"Oh really? I didn't see you." I answer, feeling pretty bad.

"Oh no, it's fine!" he answers, scratching the back of his head sheepishly, "You looked like you were deep in thought, so I didn't want to scare you."

"Oh I see." I answer, a bit sadly. He could've come to join me if he wanted, so why didn't he? Shouldn't he know it wouldn't bother me, even if we don't talk much. Snapping out of my thought, I feel a gentle pressure against my shoulder, a warmth that krept from his group to my skin and everything around that area.

"You looked kind of lonely too though, so I felt a bit bad leaving you there. But I wasn't sure if you wanted to be alone or not, that's why I left you there."

"O-oh..." I stutter. I start fidgeting a bit, playing with the hem of my favourite green scale like dress. I never would've thought that someone actually saw me. I was so into my own world I completely forgot where I was. Ever since I was little, I was often abandonned.

I remember staying with Grandeeney, training with her and learning from her. She kept me warm, gave me food to eat, she tought me how to read and write. She's taught me almost everything I know today. She's my mother. I was looking for her through the forest one day, crying my eyes out and calling her name as much as my voice could stay alive, but she was no where to be found.

After that, I had met Jellal. Of course, now I know it was the prince from Edolas. Nonetheless, he took care of me after finding me alone in the forest. He continued taking care of me after Gradeeney had left me. He was so kind and caring, just like an older brother. But, later as we got to know each other more, he strated to call out random words as if he were scared, "Anima!" I didn't understand what it was at the time, and his response to it was even more hard for me to comprehend. He told me that I couldn't come along with him anymore, which suddenly made me panic and worry. I kept asking why and why, but he wouldn't answer. Then he said that he would take me to a wizard guild so that they could take care of me, and he did. Or so I thought.
