It took a bit of time, for Rebecca to get Donatello all caught up, with everything learned about the case, thus far. So far, a few familiar mutants (such as Mondo Gecko and Pigeon Pete) were being picked off, one by one, without any sort of way, of knowing how or why.
"And even with what Kurtzman mentioned to me before," Rebecca then added, as she also added a few more important notes onto her board, "we have no Kraang, no Foot Clan, and even Don Vizioso himself, aren't found anywhere, within the entire New York footprint."
Donnie then began to think, rubbing his chin with his thumb and finger in thought, "Hmm, so you're thinking that someone else, is behind all of this."
Rebecca nodded, and shrugged a bit in reply, "Possibly, and maybe also, they're not doing it all alone. I mean, its many mutants, against one single individual?" she then shook her head quickly, "Don't think so."
"Yeah," Donnie then replied, nodding his head in agreement, "fair enough point."
Rebecca then glanced down at her watch (which was actually her Fitbit), and asked Donnie curiously, "What time do you have to be back at home, by the way?"
"Hmmm?" Donnie responded to her, a bit puzzled.
Rebecca then had to repeat herself, while looking at Donatello in the eye, "I just asked of what time you need to be back home at?"
"What do you mean?" he inquired her, also watching her check up on something on her computer.
"Well, you know," she then began to explain towards him, "if we are going to make this new partnership work out, for the both of us, I'd just like to know of what work hours would be more comfortable for you to work with."
Donnie then felt himself rubbing the back of his neck a bit unsurely, as he answered her with, "Oh, well, I'm pretty much alright with most hours, really."
Rebecca then gave Donatello a firm, and question-filled look, enough for him to get a bit uncomfortable. She then told him a bit sassily, "Could you please be a little bit more specific for me please, Dona-darling?"
The purple-masked mutant drew into a nervous breath, and then let it all out, "K then. So, how about I help you out from eight in the morning till about half-past nine in the evening?"
As he said this, he watched as Rebecca took careful note of this, by writing it all down in her small notebook, right next to her.
Then, Becca gave Donnie a small smile once she finished, and replied with, "Very well then, Don. And the time right now is," Rebecca then added as she looked down at her Fitbit watch and clicked her tongue a couple of times, "a quarter to noon." She then looked up towards Donatello and asked him, "Shall we break for lunch then, partner?"
Hearing the mention of lunch had already cued for Donatello's stomach to start growling loudly. Embarrassed, Donnie felt his face turn a very deep and bright red, and Rebecca chuckled a bit at it.
"I'll take that as a yes," she replied, before getting up from her chair, and leading Donnie towards her kitchen, "Come along now." she quickly added after that, with him being not too far behind.
Upon entering the kitchen, Rebecca looked towards Donatello and asked him, "How does some good-old homemade pizza sound to you?"
"Mmm, sounds good to me," Donnie replied with a dazed smile on his face, thinking how delicious its most likely going to look and taste like.
"Great then." Rebecca then replied, "Now let me see." before going all around, looking for and gathering up all of the necessary ingredients needed.
Once she did that, Rebecca did the same for her pizza-making tools, then asked Donatello, "Right now, you ready?"
He, in return, raised a confused 'Excuse me?' 'eyebrow', "Ready for what?"
Rebecca laughed at this a bit, "To help me out, silly."
Donnie felt a bit hesitant in reply, "I-I don't know Becca. Honestly, my younger brother is more of the culinary expert of the family, than I ever could be."
Rebecca shrugged coyly, "Then hopefully you've picked up on a few things from him." She then got out her recipe book, humming a small tune, as Donnie also added, "Uhh...that's not exactly what I meant to say, Becca."
Rebecca giggled a bit at his statement, still humming to herself, as she then began to wash her hands thoroughly in her kitchen sink, "But come on now, D. Want to have that pizza made and eaten, or not?"
Donnie sighed and shook his head, knowing that there wasn't going to be any sort of winning here against Becca, "Alright, you win." he told her, "So, what's the first step?"
Rebecca then gave Donatello a bit of a funny look, as she also pointed towards her kitchen sink, saying, "Hands washed, first. Then I'll get you to help me out with the next step. Capiche?"
Donnie did as he was told to do, while Becca started to chop a few vegetables for their pizza toppings, "Yeah, capiche."
So with that, Donatello and Rebecca worked together to make their lunch, and Becca even prepared two glasses of sweet tea for the both of them, while the pizza was about to be finished baking in the oven.
Then, just as all of the food was set on top of Rebecca's dining room table, both of them were stopped, at the sound of someone knocking on Becca's apartment door.
