"Come on, come on!" The girls were ready to leave the Etihad once the lads had won their match. They had gotten more energetic and excited as the day went on, but it was quite weird for me. Laura was usually the calmest one out of all of us. She did always get more bubbly whenever anything regarding Mason, but she was at a new level. I jokingly checked her forehead so many times to see if it was warm.
Poor Brahim, who wasn't even on the bench today, had to wait in the midst of all of the craziness. I felt a little sorry for the poor Spaniard as he didn't know what to think. Luckily, it wasn't much longer until his partner-in-crime had come up.
"Wow, you are such a stud!" Naomi said happily as her boyfriend came up. "That's what I was gonna say." Brahim pouted as the couple hugged. Laura and I laughed at the scenario, then followed the couple as they were happily walking out of the stadium. Laura quickened up her pace to catch up with them. I looked over to Brahim, who was blushing, and raised my eyebrows.
"Do you know something?" I asked as we got outside. He shrugged and let a small smirk on his face. "If I spoke, I'd be in trouble." He pretended to zip his lips shut and giggled. Shaking my head, I sighed as we walked to Phil's car. I hated secrets. It was a night out. What more could there be? I didn't like that there was so much suspense. Surprises made me nervous, and I hated being nervous on a night that was supposed to be fun.
"YAY TO SEE THE BOYS WE GO!" Phil shouted as we got into his car. Naomi sat in the front seat next to him and turned the music up as Phil started driving the way to Derby. Everyone rolled the windows down, so the people we drove by could hear us sing loudly and terribly. There was nothing like being in a car with these mugs, because even when they were acting as weird as they have the past couple of days, I loved being around them. The car ride flew because of them
Before I could even fathom it, Phil was parking. Laura immediately jumped out of the car and ran over to Mason. "Oh she has no control." Phil laughed and earned a smack in the arm from his girlfriend. "Oh please, she doesn't get to see him like we see each other." She reminded him.
The rest of us got out of the car and walked over to them. Normally, I wasn't a fan of groups, but I was actually good friends with everyone in this group. It was bound to be a good night, especially with the others coming.
Laura whispered something to Mason, which made him grin and turn to me. I was confused at that moment as he gave me the most casual smile. "Well, apparently I'm the one to tell you that the girls have a surprise for you to make your night even better, since you've overworked yourself as they've put it." He explained nonchalantly. Oh my god.
Shaking my head, I just laughed. They were all on to something, and I didn't know what to think. "Or you can just tell me, because surprises make me nervous." I explained. Both of the girls shook their heads and took my wrists with innocent smiles. Was I going to die or something? What were they all about to do to me? I was already shaking, and the two of them could sense it.
"Just close your eyes and relax. We promise we're not doing anything stupid or anything that would get us in trouble with the dork you call your brother." Laura explained. Letting out an annoyed sigh, I did what they told me to. Naomi assured me it wouldn't be that far of a walk, but I felt like a complete idiot walking in the streets with my eyes closed and two girls pulling on me. I didn't say a word as we walked, because I'd probably open my eyes and see what was coming towards me. I mean, that would lower my anxiety attack that was going on. We didn't walk too far, but it felt like an eternity for me.
"Can I please open my eyes now? I probably look stupid." I whined as we finally made a stop. The suspense was building. "Hello boys. Glad to see you all again!" Laura greeted whoever was there as she completely ignored my question. However, the girls did let go of my wrists at that point. I felt as if I had all of the freedom in the world now, but no one told me to open my eyes.
