Nathan laid in bed with me after the event. His hand layed on my belly as he counted the kicks.

"He's coming back to you isn't he, Doc?"

"I don't know, Nathan. I'm not even sure I can forgive him." I answered.

"The governor is going to call off the wedding. I'm sure he realizes the bad press he could get for this, and Greg will be free." He informs me in a sad tone.

"That doesn't mean Mr. Masterson doesn't have further plans for Greg. Hell, he could have lines of women who would want to marry his son."

"I think you've already forgiven him, but you're just stubborn." He said.

I didn't respond.

"He deserves a life with you."

"How does that make you feel?" I asked.

I really don't want to hurt Nathan. I've realized I've used him and sex as a coping mechanism. It worked with Greg when I was so broken over Braden, am I any better than Greg?

"Well, we both knew this would probably happen. I have a ton of work waiting for me in California."

I sighed. "You didn't answer my question."

"Fine, my heart is screaming to never let you go. I admit, I didn't expect to have so many deep feelings for both of you, but we don't have what you had with Greg. I'll miss you, and damn I'll miss the sex, but it's not what matters. What matters is what's most important, that's you and this baby. You deserve a man that loves you deeply, and this baby deserves it's real father."

"You're a kind soul Mr. Stark."

"Don't think I won't be coming for visits. I want to be involved with this baby's life, it's birth, baptism, first communion, confirmation, graduation, and everything that comes after that. If Mr. Moneybags has a problem with it, too bad." He said.

"You'll be there, Nathan. No matter what, you'll be there." I assured him.

We finally fell asleep, then had to get up for the stupid meeting with the Governor, my father, and the Mastersons.

"I don't even understand why we have to meet with them, anyways." I complain.

"They're trying to figure out how to deal with the press, and don't think your father didn't threaten to expose them. I personally worry most about Grace, and I could see her going to the press if she doesn't get what she wants. She has a reputation as Kentucky's little sweetheart, but the girl is spoiled and just wants Greg's money and last name." Nathan said.

"He said he would walk away from all the money for us." I rubbed my belly. "He's just not willing to give up all those jobs for people he promised. I know we need them, it's evident especially around Lexington, so I can see why it would be devastating to thousands of people." I groaned in frustration.

We stepped off the elevator and walked into the conference room where breakfast was setup.

"Food!" I got all excited, and I guess everyone else heard me. Most laughed, except Greg's father and Grace.

Nathan led me to a chair. "I'll get it, Doc." He kissed my temple, and that's when Greg walked in and paused next to me.

"Morning, Bella." He kissed my head and rubbed my belly. Grace scoffed, and I could see her anger.

"How is my baby this morning?" He asked.

This is uncomfortable.

"Active, it smells food!" Dad laughed at me.
