"I can't believe you would say that to her" I said to both women.
"I'm just trying to protect you Shawn. You really don't know what could happen and to make such a bit commitment so soon it just seems a bit stupid to me" Mom said but dad stepped in.
"Karen he's happy with that beautiful polite young lady. I couldn't ask for more for him and we should actually be supporting him in this" Dad said and I nodded at him.
"We should be protecting him!"
"He's a twenty two year old man he can protect himself. Shawn I suggest that you go get her and take her to the rink or the hilltop" Dad said and I nodded giving him and Aaliyah a quick hug before walking out the door, car keys in hand.
I looked to the road and saw Faye standing there with her arms folded over her chest. I got in the car and pulled up next to her. She slipped in and I started to drive.

"Where are we going?" She asked.
"You'll see when we get there" I smiled. I drove for s good half an hour until we got to the top of a secluded hilltop.
"What is this place? We're on a hill in the middle of nowhere" Faye said getting out and walking to the edge of the hill.
In the distance I could hear car engines and see the blue and red lights of emergency vehicles chasing each other across walls and buildings. But all that was interrupted by a deep sigh.
Faye sighed and I copied her actions.
"Scream" I said to her turning to face her.
"What? No someone will think there's a crime" She said shaking her head.
"Just scream. You're angry just scream." She smiled and shook her head again before taking off her jacket.
She took in a deep breath before letting out a loud scream. She smiled and screamed again this time I joined in with her until we were crying with laughter.
We sat on the hilltop and she laid her head on my shoulder.
"That was a better stress reliever than I expected" Faye laughed and I nodded.
"I've come up here to scream just like that so many time's. More than I probably should of" I told her.
"I'm sorry Shawn. I be caused a fuss and this should of been a happy time" Faye sighed and immediately I felt horrible for her.
"None of this is your fault ok? You've done absolutely nothing wrong. I don't know what her problem is at the moment. Maybe it's her way of trying to get old me back again and she thinks that Camila is the way to do it." I explained and Faye nodded.

"What time is it?" Faye asked and I scrunched up the sleeve of my jacket.
"Almost five" I told her and she nodded. "Do you want to go to this little diner place for dinner?" I asked
"Yeah sure." Faye smiled and I helped her up giving her a cuddle and a quick kiss before we got in the car.
This diner was in the middle of the city but it was the best place I've ever been to. My car phone rang as we were on the way.
"Shawn hey can you pick me up?"
"Er yeah why?"
"I'm home alone and hungry. Please"
"Fine Fine I'll be there in a sec"
"Thank you big brother"
"Yeah bye Aaliyah" I sighed and looked to Faye.
She nodded.
"It's ok. I like her she's lovely" Faye smiled and it made me happy to hear that.
"I hope you don't mind." I said
"No no of course not! It'll be nice" Faye reassured putting a small hand on my knee.

"Thank you so much."
"It's no problem." I said as Aaliyah jumped in the back seat.
"Where are we going? Wait. Are we going to that Diner you love?"
"How did you guess?"
"Well when you used to live here we used to go there all the time and get take out from there" Aaliyah said typing away on her phone.
"Who you texting?"
"A boy. Does it matter?"
"Yes. Yes it does I don't want boys coming near you you're my little sister. Not cool" I said.
"Oh come on you probably dated when you were like twelve and I bet you're not a virgin" she said.
"Ok. That's none of your business and I don't care what I did I'm looking out for you"
"Faye please knock some sense into him" Aaliyah said and Faye laughed.
"I appreciate that Shawn looks out for you like that it's nice that he's protective" she said running her fingers through my hair, "however Shawn she's a smart girl. Probably with good taste. Is he a good boy?" Faye laughed.
"He's really really nice but we're not in a relationship. I'm not sure if we're there yet" Aaliyah answered and I nodded.
"Good. Keep it that way"

We drove the rest of the way in silence and when I saw the little diner I felt like a kid again. I was excited. I loved this place.
We sat down at a little booth with red leather seats and each scanned the long menu for what we wanted.
"I'm going to have just the classic burger"
"Same"
"I'm going to get the classic hot dog with pickles please" Faye said to the old waitress and both me and Aaliyah scrunched our noses.
"I don't get how you can like pickles. They're gross" I said holding her hand under the table.
"I love them" Faye laughed. "I also love these little jukeboxes"
"They're cute aren't they?" Aaliyah said.

We sat in silence as we ate the food which I could never get over. It was so good and being there with my favourite girls was just a memory id cherish.
I could see Faye still eyeing up the jukebox and all the songs. Her finger occasionally stopping over a song in particular.
I paid for the bill and Aaliyah was putting her coat on.
"Wait there's one more thing" I said digging out a coin from my pocket and slipping it into the jukebox.
"Oh i love this song!" Faye said and I nodded.
"Dance with me" I said holding out my hand and Faye blushed as I saw Aaliyah get out her phone camera.
"There's people watching"Faye whispered taking my hand as a smile played on her lips.
"Let them watch" I said pulling her close as we began to dance in between the nearby aisle and tables.
It was if nothing mattered. It was just me and her despite the many people around us recording our moment.
As the song came to an end I pressed my lips to hers dipping her backwards slightly, "I love you Faye"
"I love you too"
