“Tadder, what do you mean they almost found you out?” Syd asked in annoyance.

Tadder Bailey shrugged helplessly. “I mean they almost found me out,” he said, his tone also annoyed. He quickly explained everything that had happened.

“God you are so fucking stupid! We’re identical triplets and you’re dumb enough to almost get found out?!” Syd cried.

“It wasn’t my fault!” Tad cried defensively.

Syd rubbed his temples and sighed. “Then we need to switch. You’re going to ruin the whole plan. We need to get this bitch back for cheating on Vic. Nothing can mess it up,” he said.

Tadder bit his lip. “No. I’m fine. They won’t figure me out Sydney,” he said fiercely. Honestly, he just wasn’t ready to leave yet. Something about Alex attracted him and-

No, no, no! That couldn’t be it at all! He just wanted to get the little whore back for cheating on his brother. That was all.

“Tad, I’m not risking it. Look, we’ll swap now, I’ll get rid of their suspicions, and then you can come back and finish it all off,” Syd said, realizing that was the only way to get Tadder to agree to back out now.

Tad thought about it and sighed in annoyance. “Fine Sydney. You have this week,” he growled. “We’ll swap tomorrow.”

So the next day, Ronnie dropped Tadder off and picked Sydney up. Ronnie filled Sydney in on everything that had happened so far.

School came around, and the two stood in the main lobby of the school. Sydney mentally sighed as he looked around for this Alex chick.

“Which one is she?” he asked.

“There,” Ronnie hissed, nodding slightly at the attractive girl walking towards them.

“Hi Vic,” Alex greeted with a smile.

Syd smiled brightly and held his arms out to Alex. He had to convince her that he was Vic, and Vic was always nice to her. He didn’t want to be nice to her, but it was just for a few days. The brothers couldn’t be found out.

He kissed her and took her hand in his. Ronnie had shown him a picture of Ian Welch, so he knew who that little creep was. He planned on sticking up to Ian if Ian tried to give him any trouble. No one was going to push poor Victor around.

They went through the school day with no trouble, and Sydney and Alex went to the park. They sat on the bench together and Syd wrapped an arm around her waist.

“You’ve been acting so weird Vic,” Alex said nervously. “Are you okay?”

“Yea, I’m fine,” Syd said, forcing a smiling. “I’ve just been tired. I’m sorry Alex.”

Alex cuddled next to him and smiled, happy he was back to acting like his normal self. She had hated the way Vic had been acting the past few days.

“Ian,” Syd hissed, looking up and spotting the boy. That was definitely the kid Ronnie and Tadder had showed him and told him about. He was standing by the playground looking bored.

“He’s with his mom. He wouldn’t do anything bad. A friend of mine told me that Ian doesn’t do bad things around his mom. They’re probably here with his nephews,” Alex said with a shrug.

Ian looked up and his eyes locked on the couple. He glared at them, but didn’t make a move towards them. The woman next to him, his mother, was smiling as she watched her grandchildren play together.

“Let’s leave,” Syd growled, feeling anger boiling in him. This fucker had hurt his brother.

He and Alex got up, holding hands. They began to leave. Syd shoved Ian a little as they walked by. Ian stumbled back and glared.

“Don’t touch me Bailey!” he snapped.

“Shut up Ian,” Syd growled, clenching his fist tightly.

Ian eyed him carefully, a little surprised. Vic looked like himself today. It was as if he had tanned overnight or something.

“Get out of here,” Ian snarled.

“Why? Because your mom’s here?” Syd asked, smirking.

“Shut the fuck up Victor!” Ian hissed, quickly losing his temper.

“Ian!” his mom cried in horror. “Don’t swear! You, leave!” Mrs. Welch frowned deeply at Sydney and placed a protective hand on Ian’s shoulder.

“Gladly. Mess with me one more time Ian. See what happens, you fucking mommy’s boy,” Syd said before dragging Alex away.

The remained silent until they got to the house. Syd led Alex up to his bedroom and they sat down together.

“Vic…what’s up with you?” Alex asked desperately. He wasn’t acting like himself, and it was driving her crazy.

“I’m just sick of him fucking with me. That’s all,” Syd grumbled, taking Alex’s hand in his own and giving it a reassuring squeeze.

“Are you sure? If you need to talk to me about something, I’m always here for you,” Alex said sincerely, kissing Sydney.

“Okay,” Syd said, unsure of what else to say.

He instantly understood how Victor could have fallen so deeply in love with this girl. If he hadn’t known about her cheating on Vic with Ian, he would’ve thought her a perfect girlfriend.

He kissed her again, liking the feel. She was a good kisser. He’d at least give her that. Then again, she’d probably had plenty of experience between Victor and Ian.

Sydney mentally slapped himself. He had to snap out of it. He couldn’t start freaking crushing on the girl that had cheated on his brother. He was here to make her pay for hurting his brother. He had to keep that in mind, before he fell for the same side of her that Victor had.
