Book Two Chapter Thirty-Five

                                    

                                          


                          
           
                          
Waking up I walk downstairs, cooking breakfast for him for the first time and it not burning. Just as I am finishing, he walks down. 
                          
"That smells like food that is not burnt" He chuckles, looking at me, sitting down at the table, he watches as I quickly finish cooking.
                          
"How did this happen?" Laughing I look up at him smiling, two weeks away from him was good for some things. 
                          
"Margaret happened, rather than cooking for me, I got her to teach me to cook" He looks at me shocked laughing.
                          
"Well, that turned out better than I planned" I serve up the food, sitting with him eating.
                          
"Now can you tell me about what happened?" I look at him waiting, I know he can't give details, but he can say how he got so hurt.
                          
"The new guy on the team got us into a bad situation, he bolted, and we had to fight our way out of it. We were delayed because of this, so we have to go back. The new guy is at the training unit getting a good talking to" 
                          
His words in my mind, have to go back!
                          
"We were meant to be rescuing someone, we planned everything and for some reason two days ago, he caused a fight with the locals, so we had to leave" He explains.
                          
"So, what now?" I ask, curious what is going to happen.
                          
"We wait, we need to be told everything is set to go back, we need to make sure this Maxwell is fit and sane to go back" 
                          
I feel sick again, this time physically sick, I run to the bathroom. 
                          
There throwing up, Jackson at the door asking if I was okay, I can't concentrate. After about 10 minutes I leave the bathroom Jackson stood there looking concerned.
                          
"Probably just something I ate" I smile, but he isn't fooled not at all.
                          
"No Alena, Georgina told me about how ill, you have looked lately. You need to see a doctor" 
                          
He is concerned, but I don't want to waste these few days of him just being back sat in the doctors.
                          
"If I am no better in a few days fine, I will go, but it won't be anything serious" It won't be.
                          
"Okay, well, I need to go into work. I am calling Georgina to come sit with you for a couple of hours" 
                          
He walks off, work, great I forgot about that, but he does whenever he leaves he goes back for a quick run down of any issues. 
                          
Hopefully, he approves of what I did with the two couples fighting. Georgina arrives, and Jackson leaves saying he would be back soon. She looks at me concerned.
                          
"Alena, do you think you could be you know?" She asks me, why does she speak in riddles?
                          
"What?" I look at her confused.
                          
"Do you think you could be pregnant?" 
                          
Her words, making me freeze, surely not. I had started the pill that day after Liam's accident, I had been late taking one, but I took it as soon as I remembered and that was over a month ago now.
                          
"We need to get you a test, everything points to that even if your 100% sure you can't be just to rule it out. I will go get one now" 
                          
Georgina getting up and leaving. Sitting here frozen, I can't believe this is happening, I can't be pregnant? And what if I am, then what, I feel like crying I don't want a baby, I want Jackson and everything we have a baby will change that.
