Two weeks later...
"Are you sure he's alright?" Ahsoka saw Obi-Wan talking to Anakin's doctor from down the hall. They wouldn't let Ahsoka, or anyone else, see Anakin since the incident at Dooku's trial. But that didn't stop Ahsoka from going everyday to the hospital to see if they would let her in to see him.
"I assure you, he's fine," The doctor responded, "I can only let you in after the person he requested to see sees him first."
"And who may that be?" Obi-Wan asked.
"Her, actually," The Doctor said, pointing to Ahsoka walking up to them. Ahsoka didn't hear them talking yet.
"Master Kenobi?" Ahsoka asked, stopping a few steps away from him. She personally hadn't seen him since what happened two weeks ago.
He turned around and faced Ahsoka.
"Ahsoka, how have you been?" He asked casually, "I haven't seen you in a while.."
She stared at him. She was still a little shaken up and paranoid from what happened.
"I've been ok.." She answered.
"I have to go. Tell her what I told you please," The doctor said. He then turned and left.
"Ahsoka, I'm really sorry about what I did.." Obi-Wan told her, "I really couldn't stop whatever Dooku was doing to me.."
"It's alright.." She said, taking a cautious step closer, "I understand.. um, what does the doctor want me to know exactly?"
"He wanted me to tell you that no one was allowed to see Anakin because he was recovering slower than they expected and he was unconscious. He woke up a few hours ago, requesting that he sees no one until after he's seen you," Obi-Wan informed her.
"Really? He wants to see me that badly?" Ahsoka asked, somewhat trying to make a joke.
"I believe he probably has something important to tell you," Obi-Wan responded.
Ahsoka considered that for a moment. What could be so important to him that only she could know? She was trying to imagine what it could be, but nothing came to her mind.
"You should probably go in to see him. He's probably very confused, as he's been in a coma for so long," Obi-Wan said. Ahsoka nodded.
"Right.." she said as she moved past Obi-Wan.
She opened the door to Anakin's room to see him sitting up on the edge of his bed. His eyes lit up a little with happiness, and the tension he was apparently feeling seemed to fade a little.
"Ahsoka," He said as she closed the door to his room and walked over to him, "Have you been alright?"
She smiled a little, "I should be asking you that.."
Anakin smiled as well, though Ahsoka could tell something was bothering him.
"Ani, what's wrong..?" She asked. He looked up to meet her eyes for a moment.
"I.. I need to tell you something.." He said, his voice low and full of worry. Ahsoka went over to Anakin and sat down next to him.
"Ok, what is it?" She asked curiously.
"I was having an awful nightmare the entire time I was unconscious," He told her, "It kept repeating over and over again. The same thing.."
Ahsoka looked at him and watched as his face went from cold and almost expressionless to sad and sorrowful.
She put a hand on his shoulder, "What dream was it?" She asked in a calming and quiet voice.
"You.." He said, looking to Ahsoka and meeting her eyes again. He seemed to be searching her for something he must've seen, "The nightmare I was having was of you being tortured by someone wearing a dark brown cloak. Every time it would replay in my head, I would burst through a pair of doors and run to try and rescue you, even though I knew I shouldn't run at him because I knew he would expect it.." He paused for a moment, a tear running down his cheek.
He looked back to Ahsoka sitting next to him then continued, "And every time I would attack, the man would use the Force to shock me with lightning bolts and I would fall to the ground.... and I wouldn't save you.."
Ahsoka stared at him for a moment. She reached her hand up and wiped his tear away.
"Anakin, it's ok.." She said quietly, "I'm ok. It was only a dream.."
He shook his head a little, "No.. I.. I don't think it was.. it felt too real to be a dream of any kind.."
"What do you mean?"
Anakin stared at Ahsoka, not wanting to say any more, but knowing he had to.
"Ahsoka, I think I saw the future.. your future.."
Ahsoka moved closer to Anakin and hugged him, being careful to avoid his wound.
"Ani, How is that possible..?" Ahsoka asked.
He hugged her back, "I don't know.. but we have to figure out who did that to you in my dream and stop them... before they can hurt you.."
