THE BLOOD DUEL
It's been almost two years since Prince Xander disappeared without a trace, and his twin sister Adelaide finds herself locked up in a castle tower on the brink of insanity.
Unfortunately for twins Adelaide and Xander, they have found themselves in the position where their only choice is to fight to the death during The Blood Dual, and ancient werewolf law forbids them from any other fate.
PROLOGUE
The Blood Dual is an event which usually only has to take place every few centuries, as the likelihood of the Queen of werewolves birthing twins is very low. Especially as her first children.
Many decades ago, the King had two children with a woman - not his mate - with twins that were to be his first born children, Lucas and Dean.
Of course, everyone initially was expecting the king to announce a Blood Dual, a battle in which once the twins reached 18 years of age, they would fight to the death so that the stronger one may become the King's successor. Citizens under the leadership of the monarch were very disappointed to hear that they would not be able to bear witness to the rare event, as the ancient law clearly states that the mother of the twins has to be the true mate of the King.
As the King did not have a mate, he decided he would have another son that will take his place as King and settle the dispute, so, after many years of trying, he was able to produce a child with a woman, a healthy son. That would become king. The king named his son Declan.
