So I don't know how this turned out. I tried on this one. It was probably a fail but at least I attempted it.
Leo X Innocent Reader. After not being taken seriously, you finally decide to show how bad you can really be... or at least, try to be.
Your turtle boyfriend was the last to expect this.I was currently walking with April and Casey down to the lair. I was explaining to Casey what went on in chemistry today, how we had to pack the substances being used into the test tubes before they exploded. All over my clean clothes. Casey seemed to find it funnier than I had and burst out laughing. April looked at the hockey player and groaned.
"That's what she said!" Casey laughed. I paused to look at him, tilting my head.
"Wait, who?" I asked. April smacked him upside the head. Casey gave her a look and sighed.
"Oh, um, nothing. It's just a saying is all." April smiled at his answer and turned back to face me.
"Don't worry about it."
I sighed. Why couldn't I understand what they meant? And what was so funny about "that's what she said"? Who said what? My thoughts were cut short when we entered the lair. Mikey greeted us all with a hug, but I personally just wanted to see my boyfriend in blue.
Maybe he was in the dojo meditating again. With that thought, I walked off that direction.
Later that day.
"And then- you know what happened afterwards!" April gossiped about how her best friend went on a date with some guy.
I frowned and leaned across the table, everyone else seemed to catch onto something that I didn't."Um, they went home and went to bed right?"
April looked over at me and grinned. I still held a confused expression and it was obvious. Even Mikey understood what was happening!
"You know they did!" Casey exclaimed, howling in a fit of laughs. I grumbled.
"What's so amusing about sleeping?! I don't get it!" I exclaimed, looking around the table. The boys stared at me, making me feel stupid. Raph scoffed and Donnie looked away, Leo slapping a hand over Mikey's mouth before he could say anything. He smiled.
"Don't worry about it, (y/n). It's nothing."
I squinted my eyes in frustration and turned to leave, Leo accompanying me on my way out. What was I not getting?
A Day Later
My friends and I were sat around the lunch table, laughing it up as we found random topics to make conversation with.
"And then-" one of my best guy friends paused, hunching over in his laughs. His face was so red it was taking on a new purple shade. "And then he goes "that's what your mom said too!" The whole table roared into laughter, my best friend banging her fist on the top of the table as if it were the funniest thing ever.
I frowned and watched everyone understand some hidden thing that I couldn't. One by one, they slowed down and realization settled in. I tilted my head and smiled as if I understood and my friend shook his head.
"You're too innocent."
I paused, everyone's words blurring together in the background as I zoned out. Innocent? He said it as like he really meant stupid. I wasn't stupid, I got As and Bs, I made good choices, I was smart! So what exactly did he mean by innocent?
