If Jungkook could describe himself right now it would be an awkward mess. He didn't mean to actually meet Lalisa Manoban, he simply imagined it. And he never would've imagined leaving a horrible first impression on the blonde beauty.
Right now, her unnies were introducing themselves and even invited him to sit with them. Gosh, if the media found out about this... Jungkook shivered in his seat.
"Cold?"
He twisted his head around to look at a shy-looking Lisa, and immediately, she broke off their eye contact.
"Not really." Jungkook forced his voice to not shake. "Just wondering what would happen if the media found out about this."
Lisa brightened a bit, and she laid back her head on the chair with a chuckle. "They'll probably label someone of us as dating you-" Then her eyes widened. "Isn't that the plan? We're supposed to act like, well, you know..."
"Well the media isn't present, yet. The plan will start on next week I believe." Jungkook added with a gentle, reassuring smile. "I suppose it'll be a day after the dinner."
Lisa nodded and calmed down once more, oblivious to the confident and cheering looks her unnies were giving. Jisoo glanced at the menu behind their chairs.
"Jungkook, would you care for some food?" She asked.
Jungkook smiled gratefully but shook his head, declining the offer. "Ah, no thanks. I ate a lot earlier." He explained.
"I see." The oldest said then turned to the other maknae. "How about you Pokpak?" Lisa stopped sipping her drink and gave an intense stare at her unnie, as if to signify they weren't alone. Jisoo smirked.
"None? Alright." She said, turning away.
"I'll come." Jennie said, and Rosé also decided to order some food. It would be useless to stay at a restaurant and only order drinks. But we all know that's not the only reason.
"Wait!" Lisa held out a hand as if to stop them, but her unnies had already left towards the counter. She was stuck alone with Jungkook. This was a nightmare.
A few seconds of uncomfortable silence ticked by until Jungkook finally managed to say a few words.
"Um, how was your day?" He asked, unable to think of anything better. After that he mentally slapped himself. Great job, Jungkook.
Lisa blinked and played with the hem of her skirt. "Fine, I guess." When he didn't respond, Lisa took out some hidden bubblegum from her bag and popped one in her mouth. She noticed that Jungkook's eyes kept shifting from his lap to the pack of bubblegum.
"Want some?" She asked while chewing then blowing.
"Yes!" Jungkook yelled, but seemed to realize that it was childish. He coughed embarassingly. "I mean, sure, and thank you."
She chuckled and handed one to him. "Don't show it to the others, they'll probably steal it all for themselves."
The golden maknae nodded like an eager child and literally snatched it from her and threw one into his mouth.
"Greedy much?" Lisa teased as Jungkook chewed it thoroughly, but he simply glared at her and enjoyed the minty sensation on his tongue.
Not to seem creepy, but Lisa actually thought it was cute when the other maknae stuck out his cheeks like a squirrel storing nuts when he chews. It made him look like an adorable baby. Lisa leaned on the table and finished off her bubblegum by putting in a clean tissue and throwing it into the nearby trash bin, then she tasted blood and a sharp sting of pain on the tip of her tongue as she got back.
"Ow, I think I bit my tongue!"
