CHAPTER 53
What Are You Doing Crouching In front Of My House Gate?
Jing Yue held her breath firmly, she was careful not to let even a bit of her breath out. The strange thing was; that black clothed man obviously knew Jing Yue was inside but he actually stood at the gate for a while before flying away soon after, leaving a dumbstruck Jing Yue behind.
‘Don’t tell me he wants to pull the snake from its hole?’
‘I’m not that stupid!’
Jing Yue saw that no one was outside, but instead of getting out, she turned around to take a look at the weed covered courtyard she had just entered. There was only one path that could be stepped on; Jing Yue blinked her eyes and walked slowly following the path, going deeper into that courtyard.
She found that this courtyard was actually quite big; when she walked further inside, it was a forest of bamboos everywhere. Jing Yue stopped her legs and stared suspiciously at a shabby building; ‘does someone really live in this place?’
Just when she started to be suspicious, she suddenly heard something moved. Her heart shivered; the place the sound came from was exactly that bamboo forest. Very cautiously, Jing Yue took a step into the bamboo forest; it seemed there was something inside this dense bamboo forest.
Jing Yue held her breath; she walked step by step forward until she finally saw a very huge round area that was covered with thin silks all around. Jing Yue frowned slightly; she raised her hand to lift the thin silk open; however, a moment after she lifted the thin silk, she was completely stunned by the scene before her eyes.
Among a dark green pond, a white haired man had his back towards her, leaning against the pond’s edge. A thread of ice cold air assaulted her senses. That man seemed to be repressing some kind of enormous pain; he issued several groans which seemed could no longer be held back.
Jing Yue dazedly stared at the man’s back; she shifted her feet for a bit, seemed wanted to withdraw; however, just as her foot took that one step, in a moment of carelessness she had actually stepped on bamboo leaves, producing a sound that was obviously very small but managed to rouse the man who was soaking in the water.
“Who!” Just as that voice came through, a water arrow was subsequently launched towards her. Jing Yue hastily moved aside to dodge and pulled the thin silk to block that water arrow, her heart was trembling. Without any hesitation, she scampered to leave. As she ran, she turned her head and saw part of that white haired man’s face under the moonlight.
Half of that man’s face was actually covered with visible black veins; it seemed like all the veins in his face had swollen and turned black; that ice-cold eye actually had only a tiny little black pupil while the remaining part was all white. That kind of look would really scare people.
Jing Yue was practically losing her head; she ran out without even choosing her road, completely didn’t care whether or not there would be a killer waiting for her outside; her head was completely filled with that man’s face, it was just like a monster!
“Master.” Just like a ghost, a black clothed man fell beside the pond among that bamboo forest. He hung his head and stared at the white haired man whose back was towards him.
“It’s her?” That man opened his mouth and asked faintly; his voice was hoarse.
“Yes.”
Jing Yue completely didn’t know what kind of ghost she was running from.
Anyway, there was only one thought in her head; ‘run!’
When Jing Yue could no longer move, she leaned on the wall at her side gasping for breath and rested for a while; her heart was still throbbing violently, her forehead was full of sweats. Certain that no one was chasing after her, she finally sat her whole butt down on the ground, could no longer move.
“Jing Yue?” Just as Jing Yue started to relax, she was suddenly frightened by someone’s call. When she lifted her gaze to look and saw Fang ZiCheng’s astonished eyes, she immediately loosened her breath.
“It’s you ah……” Jing Yue continued to sit on the ground and raised her hand to wipe the sweats on her forehead before dully giving him an answer as a greeting.
“It really is you?” Fang ZiCheng was dumbfounded. He walked towards Jing Yue and finally crouched in front of her and said: “What are you doing crouching in front of my house gate? Come to find me?”
